> >OKPlayer, in general, selects for a demographic: > > >-Skews-younger or old/hip > >-Left-leaning > >-The artistic tone of the Roots means the >demographic leans educated > >So that kicks it off and eliminates a lot of racists, >kids, thug niggas and non-racist rednecks. > > >(For the most part) > > >The problem is this: > >We haven't eliminated weirdos, bohoes and women. > > >WOMEN: > >Women are great, but they taint a board presence >because men act differently around them. > >This is the MENS fault, btw, not the women's fault. BAAAASE
>OKS selects against women, which means the participants >are more genuine. Sad, but true. I just look at the >few times Harmonia (an actual sports fan) used to >post in here and half the Boston niggas was in here being >giggly and emo. If half the board was girls, we'd have >niggas getting fussy, trying to be cute and catchy for >the sake of pussy. > >The only women who didn't fuck up the board was Write and >that's because she's mature and self-aware enough to make >fun of herself for being a woman (the comments on niggas >lips, avatars of her legs, etc). For the most part, she >felt safe in Sports and would get gully with her talking >shit just like the next nigga. > > > >BOHOES AND WEIRDOS: > >OKS selects against Bohoes for the most part....there's a >few Philly niggas with stank breath and Cyrenyoung types, >but overall not too many. > >That's because its hard to be snobby about sports. The >benchmarks for greatness are clearer and so accomplishments >are a lot less ambiguous. > >For example, I think most expensive wine tastes like shit >and would rather have the bottle of Moscato on sale for 8 >dollars at the gas station. The reason I can't say that >out loud is that I'm afraid of being labeled uncivil or >unclassy or uncouth. even cheaper at Trader Joe's (despite how I'm sure it attracts bohoes in big cities) my dude but yeah, I agree
>And the *perceived* goodness of wine is what dictates >what people talk openly about. There are no objective >measure. What the dipshit snob says is good, is good. > > > >Sports has few of these situations because the benchmarks >are clearer. > >Whether or not Lebron James is better than Jordan is a >legit debate. several championships premature

This group is fine, >though, because they use numbers which CAN BE DEBATED. > > > >The Lesson, for example, is a terrible board overrun by >weirdos and bohoes. No one has any self esteem, which leads >to people crafting their opinions around what makes them >feel cool/smart rather than how they feel. > > >PTP is a good board with some good people but a tad more >weirdos than I'm comfortable with. There's some self esteem >problems there too, but not nearly as many as in The Lesson. > > >OKSports doesn't have any of that. > > >It selects against women, so guys aren't trying to get >pussy and acting like....pussies. > >It selects against bohoes, and so there's nothing to >be snobby about. > >It selects against weirdos, so people tend to have all >of their mental faculties/keep their mental illness >outside the purview of the discussions (except when >we're talking about Kobe). YUP!!! > >Even with that, a lot of y'all niggas stay mad. in infinite loops
one other point, there's a sense that OKS heads are more well rounded in general, our lives don't revolve around sports, but we're able to chop it up BECAUSE our views/perspectives aren't limited or in a vaccuum.
