The day was September 28th, 2008, and we were at the State Fair. Our wives had taken our kids and were riding rides and looking at the attractions. Me and MAL went to the Chevrolet tent where they got a huge big screen TV to watch the Cowboys play the Redskins. It was the last time the Redskins played at old Texas Stadium. It was a pretty tight game all the way through, but Dallas lost to Washington 26-24.

I don't know if yall remember the game or not, but Santana Moss and Clinton Portis both ran wild on Dallas. The defense played real bad, TNew had maybe his worst game. MAL's beloved Marion Barber only had 25-30 yards. After we caught the L, who does this nigga MAL blame THE WHOLE game on? ROMO because he threw a pick in the 3rd quarter when Dallas was trying to come back. Forget the that he had thrown for about 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. MAL was real verbal, talkin about it was all Romo's fault. Now watching the game under the same tent was about 12-13 "American Me" looking Mexican dudes ALL wearing Romo jerseys. And MAL steady talking LOUD about "Romo sucks...Romo ain't good for nothing but chasing white women that...get this fool out of here because he ain't mentally strong enough to lead this team..." all that same stuff he be saying about Romo on here, but WORSE. One of them Mexicans said "Romo is better than Quincy Carter homes..." MAL yelled back "Quincy didn't lose this game, ROMO DID."

Now let me tell y'all something about this fool MAL. He won't ever admit it, but he got a real bad habit of being condescending to folks that he thinks he's smarter or "better" than, and he thinks HIS opinion is way more scholarly than everybody elses. (that's why he makes a big deal about posting MALACHI's GAME OBSERVATIONS, because he HAD to have noticed stuff and come to different conclusions thasn everybody else...nigga, please...lol) Anyway, the way he was talking about Romo was making them Mexicans MAD. Me and the other 2-3 black dudes that was there was trying to get him to be quiet before we had a race riot at the fair like the one they had in that movie "Blood In Blood Out", but this emotional knee-jerk nigga would. not. shut. up. And even though he wasn't actually USING racial slurs about Romo, it SOUNDED like "get this dumb, sombrero-wearing, taco-eating, half a Mexican wetback out of here..." I KNOW thats what them Mexicans was thinking it sounded like, because thats what ***I*** thought it sounded like. Anyway the situation calmed down a little bit, and I went to get something to drink. I get back not 5 minutes later, and ALL THEM MEXICANS got MAL hemmed up and he standing up there shakin and quakin behind 2 policeman. That ni**a had said something else while I was gone that set them Mexicans off, and they was ready to jump this fool, and the other few black dudes wasn't gon jump in it because they had tried to get this fool to shut up for the past 3 hours. MAL ain't trusted no white police since he was 10 years old and Mumia Abu-Jamal was first in the news, but them white cops couldn't move cause because this nigga MAL was holding on to they shirt sleeves so tight cause he was scared of all them Mexicans. We dang near had to get a police escort out of Fair Park. Now MAL is a brown-skinned dude, but that nigga was so shook when them Mexicans rolled up on him, he got pale as Charli Baltimore...sweatin and wide eyed. MAL get shook every time he see more than 2 Mexicans in the same room like he havin a flash back...that fool probably want Texas to adopt that same immigration policy Arizona got. This fool can't even hardly drive past a Mexican restaurant without having a panic attack. Anyway, there you have it. MAL has hated Romo's guts since Sept. 28, 2008.

I'm about to generalize like crazy and forgive me if I offend....here's my theory.

I figure if a dude gonna come from Mexico and bypass the West Coast, Southwest, Denver, Chicago to go to Philly, that cat is the pioneering sort, all about his paper and opportunities. He's not trying to wild out, just trying to live. As he gets settled, he's gonna tell his people who are like minded and they gonna tell their people, etc.

Same thing happened with Black folks moving out of the South.

Eventually, someone's crazy cousin or brother is gonna show up and start raising hell. Think Mouse from Devil in a Blue Dress.

But yeah, I hear similar stories from back east all the time. Like Puerto Ricans and Dominicans are running things and shitting on Mexicans. That is something I can't wrap my head around being from out west.
