First of all, congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks.
They really, truly showed that they wanted it more.
They swept the team that many thought was the only hope against the Heat.
I can't say enough. I thought it was over in game 1.
They didn't.
I'm genuinely happy for this team winning it, free of agendas, even if I don't claim the Mavs. Dirk and J Kidd finally get rings. The supporting cast, especially JJ Barea and Jason Terry, who I doubted, put on a amazing post-season performance. Marc Cuban's passion for the team he owns finally paid off.
Solaam, 40thStreetBlack, tam, Grifty, hell, even SeV.
Watching the disappointments that have been the recent Mavs postseasons for all those years, is tough. No one should go through the stress of that shit, as a fan.
As for the Heat:
They were committed to being the supervillains of the NBA, to fill the void that the Lakers may well leave as Kobe and others get older, and a fresh wave of uncertainty washes over them.
They also have a lot of work to do. I will admit to eating crow on Chris Bosh, as he has stepped up big time in the post season for the most part. Both LeBron and D-Wade need to give up the idea that a championship is based on talent alone, and fight for it. D-Wade especially was acting like a clown during the Finals. Spoelstra should get another chance, with a few tweaks.
I'm glad they lost this year, but after this year... I'm not going to bet against seeing this team be truly great.
But...
Let's not forget the reason that I'm here, making a post by my lonesome.

These past few years in sports have been agonizing. Especially in the NBA.
From last year about this time until now:
- Bron oversells an elbow injury and QUITS his way out of Cleveland
- The Decision
- Open Migration to Kobestan
- Cleveland (as I've been so kindly reminded by a number of y'all) has a historic collapse
- Lakers get swept (negating that agenda)
- both Boston and Chicago (who I thought would beat the Heat) get GUILED in the playoffs
... but OH HO HO.
Look at what we have here.
Bron turns into a pumpkin in game 4 of the Finals. Pads stats for the two games following. And while I'll give Shells and Bomb some credit for recognizing it. SBM, Cut-Off Jeans and some of you other jabronis?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE. Y'all MOTHERFUCKERS ACT LIKE THE CAMEL PACK DID WHEN MR. KNOWLES WAS CRYING ON HOT 97 AFTER HE GOT ETHERED!!!
