"Cavs / Kang Massive Diplomatic Relations "

Has there been any coalescing of the factions? Or are we all still lathered in #AgendaWarz and more interested in placing blame, and being "right" ?

But we off that now. #ChampionBoy is the movement:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdyKjebTj7s

Sure, Ky Irv is struggling a bit as of late - and not quite right after that egregious knee injury last year in the Finals (which he shouldn't have been playing on) - but he's still Kyrie - still has the gusto off the dribble, still has the icy accuracy w/ the jumper when it matters. If he's healthy? Cavs are a problem.

Sure, Love (young Joey Campbell) has been just flat-out unsightly to watch at times. But he's still right there, banging the offensive boards, hitting big 3's, and taking charges on pivotal plays. If he can stay healthy? Cavs will compete.

Sure, I know some of y'all are still bitter from the Miami Cocaine Glory days (and boy were they glorious) - but Kang is peaking at just the right time and is playing his best ball of the season. Is he aging? No doubt. Has he lost some lift? Sure. Is he still capable of paradigm-shifting a franchise from worst in the league to a Championship? Absolutely.

Besides, we got #BeenChanningFryeWithTheShotBoy now along w/ the rag-tag supporting cast.

I know it's been entertaining to pit Kang loyalists against Land Franchisees - but we off that now. #WhoHealedYou is the movement.

LeBron has already made "The Shift"

the subtweeting, the trolling, and all the bullshit that happens when the team falls apart for a game still annoys me

but when Bron can drop 30 and not even go for a single 3, I'm happy

all this team needs is to be consistent

that means, even IF THEY LOSE, they don't blow the team up.

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

They are built to own the East (right now) but overreaction to a Finals loss could blow it.

I don't think they will be wholesale changes - just tweaks - but I wouldn't be completely confident that Irving or Love remain if they don't perform well in the Finals.

I'd still rather have Bron taking those shots - 9-17 is efficient, but he got whatever he wanted in the paint - need more of that moving forward.

That said - I think Bron realizes that in order to compete with GSW & Spurs - the Cavs have to play this kind of balanced basketball. If they can master this balanced formula - they can compete w/ those teams in the Finals.

In a way - that was sort of a seminal moment in the coming together of this Big Three. They are in a much better place than they've ever been right now in terms of team chemistry and belief in each other.

>was worth ALLLLLLLLL the bullshit of the regular season, and
>it's only game 3.

I think the theatrics were a bit overstated - but there was some truth to the friction. I think Bron's biological clock is ticking on birthing a championship for CLE and he's playing with real urgency right now - so I think he's just trying to motivate a "do or die" mentality - which is necessary.

To me - Irving has been sensational in this series. I still feel that his wheels aren't entirely right after last year's knee injury (still pissed he was allowed to play on a broke wheel which precipitated the kneecap injury) - but his shooting has been spectacular and he's providing timely offensive punch. Love has been pleasantly efficient and timely as well with offensive boards/big threes.

>I have to give credit to Tyronn Lue, even. He's gotten better
>at the time outs and adjustments these last two games.

I've been a skeptic (and remain a skeptic) - but he's starting to win me over. If for nothing else, he's got this team having fun in the moment and playing with poise, confidence, and cohesion. Blatt was never able to cultivate this kind of unity.

He's learned to pick his spots to go 'kyrie'

Only saw him over dribbling only about 2-3 times this series

Not even mad at the times where hes out of control because I know he's not at risk of doing it multiple times during the game anymore

Good series from him

He earned some extra points with this trolling of Detroit fans

that they didn't have at all in the regular season.

LeBron put up a "standard" line. But his passing saved the Cavs' asses again.

Both Kyrie and Love put up "substandard lines" but figured out how to keep the game going and helped deliver the win.

Tristan is beasting.

again, I have to find some praise for Ty Lue for the game plan. Schröder torched the Cavs on some Curry shit, but allowing that (rarity) was something the Cavs might as well allowed rather than letting him run to the hoop. Korver was almost completely erased.

was some kind of plan for running Schroder off the line or something. He was scorching from three. He was one of the only reasons the game was "close". I said after the game that the Cavs should have won by 20...that's real.

En route to the ECF, Kevin Love has erased much of the doubt that he deserves to be in Da Kang's Court.

Even better now than last season, because he knows he's gonna either be playing the 5 or forcing people to watch him on the corner for the rest of the playoffs.

But this is much better than anytime before, IMO.

Big 3 still standing.
LeBron actually had an opportunity to play the role he's always wanted to play. Took over when the Cavs absolutely needed him to.

and David Griffin with the trade of the century bringing in Channing Frye. He has been huge in the playoffs.

Bron is playing the way he loves to play - super efficient - distributing to a myriad of viable options - having a lot of fun with #TeamBall mode. Love and Ky are fully on board - and playing great (despite a few bumps in the road - which are actually good for them).

It's a ton of fun to watch this team and I've never wanted a Bron team to win a 'chip more than this one.

this was the Cavs roster

(starting 5)
Delly
Shumpert (shoulder/groin injuries)
Bron
Tristan
Mozgov (ankle injury)

(bench)
PIPE
Mike Miller
James Jones
Shawn Marion

against the Warriors.
they avoided a sweep, and would have been up 3-0 if a Shumpert corner 3 went in.

this season:

(starting 5) Kyrie, JR, LBJ, Love, Tristan
(bench) Delly, Shumpert, Jefferson, Frye

if they need, they can bring in Mozgov, Mo, or James Jones

hopefully they won't.

LeBron was 2 games away imposing his will.
Almost an average triple double, with nearly 40 scored every game.

This year, he will not be denied. REAP!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

If your hate brings you to Cleveland, there is room for you in our sanctuary.

The one time a LeBron James team will be an underdog is now.
- Bad defense from key players, esp. against PnR
- blowouts in the last 2 meetings against this team.
- no home court advantage
- no officiating advantage. gonna go in there KNOWING you won't get calls.

and yet, watching OKC, and knowing what LeBron and a proverbial bag of dildos did to them a year ago, I feel more confident than ever.

I'm done picking fights with LeBronies.
LeBron is probably going to be hated for the rest of his career, which means the bandwagon is gonna be emptied which means I can enjoy watching him play basketball again w/o caveats and interference. Just don't scapegoat his teammates.

Everything surrounding and including this Worriers team is worse than the Heat and maybe even the Cheese Eyed Bulls teams between social media, LeBron Haters, and a good number of their dickhead newfound fans who have no idea who Monta Ellis is.

From this point forward, I will be hating mercilessly. Be prepared, Internet. Donkeylips is only the beginning.

Go Cavs.
Thank You LeBron.

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

They are just playing a historic team w/ too many weapons - no shame in losing to this team.

but yea - fuck the dubs.

They have fought with incredible heart when everybody had them dead in the water. Seeing Kyrie grow up in this series has been incredibly fun to watch. If only Love could live up to his expectations - the Cavs might have been playing for the 'chip on their home court tonight.

Lebron has been historic the last two years in the Finals - and I'm glad it was with this team.

If it happens this year - it will be the greatest feat in NBA Finals history. If it doesn't and they leave it all out on the court in Oakland? They re-tool and have a lot to be proud about going into next season.

nah - just a Finals MVP trophy.

without his 2 co-allstars.

so whats the next step in the 'process'?
going only 1 more game with those 2 co-allstars healthy?

just cuz the dubs (with the same pieces) had a better regular season
doesnt mean a healthy cavs squad (with 2 now-healthy weapons) is some dramatic underdog
that should be commended just for being competitive.

this that #participationtrophy shit we talking bout.
instead of lestans saying he failed (again),
yall will say shit like
"2nd trimester of the process has been completed successfully" lol.

It really is no excuses(it was like that the whole series)

And that doesn't absolve Golden State either, its no excuses for them as well. Both have the ability to win and should expect to.

This 'process' stuff is weak...especially when the talk for the last year was cavs woulda won if healthy.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

nobody has a #participationtrophy tucked away for the dubs.

their fans will say they flat out failed.

It's not logical to think that either you get showered with all the praise in the world for accomplishing the greatest feat in NBA Finals History if you win - to reaching and saying you're an abject failure if you lose in game 7 on the road to arguably the greatest/deepest team in league history.

In response to Reply # 81

if he loses this year with a healthy team he dont get those props.

not sure what other narrative you alluding to.

the false narrative would be bron being celebrated
for taking a severely outmanned underdog
up against one of the greatest juggernaut dynasties in nba history
and putting up a valiant fight
but ultimately not being able to overcome a game 7 in enemy territory.
which is how you see it.

if anything
even tho bron been a savage the last few games,
him underperforming early on could be seen as the reason we are even at a game 7.
cavs starters getting manhandled by dubs second stringers in game 1,
bron having 7 turnovers in game 2,
and bron being completely passive in game 4.
had he played at his expected level in any 2 outta those 3 games,
this series coulda been over last night.

might as well throw that narrative in the mix too.

'This what he should've been doing the whole time'

So everytime he ain't dropping 40+ and shooting 50% and dropping 10 dimes it's going to be a choke job

Hell if he does it in game 7 and they lose off a curry half court shot with 2 ticks on the clock these fuk nyggas going to still shyt on him

So nah

Add on the fact that they'll blame the warriors for giving it away more than give props for having the best finals performance in NBA history

Then there's going to be the bullshyt about it being rigged

Then Curry being hurt

Some e:60 going to drop about Dray being touched by his uncle when he was a kid and that's y hes been attacking nyggas nuts

Yea

Fuk that

as far as im concerned, he gets a pass for all those cleveland teams he dragged to the finals in his early career...those teams are HOT garbage. i mean ppl actually hyped up zydrunas ilgauskas and anderson varejao as legitimate pieces to win a title smh

the only finals losses i put is 2011 to the mavericks. is that homerism bc im a bron fan? maybe.

that spurs team the heat lost to was a god damn machine (they would have taken care of this full strength GSW team easily) and popp sonned spoelstra ....

Ive already moved on to celebrating the arrival of Ben Simmons' arrival in Philly and started discussing Bron as a top 3 all time player. No one can tell me it's not Mike, Kareem and Bron at this point. I expect another dominant performance in game 7 and another finals MVP. We all need to tip our hat to this dude. What he's done in these past two games is simply amazing.

Now everyone's confidence is high and all of the pressure is still on the dubs, even with them being at home. I see a pretty easy win for Bron. Think the warriors are still trying to win the whole series with one big shot instead of just playing their game. But that's what happens when that pressure starts to creep up.

Cavs gotta win
Or it's 2-5 and a blow up

but I'm no longer invested in Bron's "record" as much as I am this team winning one more game and ALL THE AGENDAS.

The "Blatt was better" crowd took a L last night
The "LeBron Is Washed" crowd (of which I was a part earlier in the playoffs) took a L
The "Kyrie Ain't Shit But A Hoggy Hogg And Is Getting Traded" crowd took their FIRST L
The "Cavs Only Won Because Of Donkeylips Being Out" crowd took their first L

and that doesn't even count all the "General Audience" agendas.

LeBron stopping the coronation of 73-9 is going to put him in Kareem, Cheese Eyes territory

this team already exceeded last season and avoided the embarrassment of losing the title at home

but they have to get that title to meet expectations, since LeBron raised them himself last season.

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

Bird played against the stacked Sixers followed by SHOWTIME, had his career cut short by injury and still retired with 3 rings, 3 MVPs 2 Finals MVPs and avg'd 24-10-6 for his career. Lebron's career numbers aren't clearly better and he hasn't even had a decline yet.

If the Cavs win? Yeah, same rings, 1 more Finals and NBA MVP. Fine.

But why is it over and done already?

Once he gets this chip, it should be over for everyone. Like you said, same amount of rings, more finals appearances, one more finals mvp, one more reg season NFL, better stats and better defender. What's there to discuss? Can't hate on Bron forever, dude.

my gameplan was to just shut the fuck up (if anyone bothered to notice, i barely contributed to NBA threads all season, especially about the cavs). vex seemed to accept that bron ain't winning without ky, so he started cysing ky.

it worked. and now we get to troll people.

What exactly did I predict?

(1) that Lebron James would return to Cleveland
(2) that Kevin Love would be acquired
(3) that Kyrie would be a better teammate than Wade
(4) that Bron winning a 'chip in Cleveland would be one of the most historic feats in league history (and it was)

and finally...that miserable lames like yourself would be mad, upset, and criminally wrong about the Greatness of Lebron James.

That said - I'm here for you. You gonna be ok?
