"I've come to realise that I never loved Hip-Hop as a whole, just a particular era that happened at the same time as I was actively checking actively for new music."

"There is nothing more poetic, but depressing than a male writer" -yours truly
sometimes i do... it's a totally different kind of flow too my energy is different when i write from that perspective it's a rare thing for me though not something i've given alot of energy to
i've only really ever done it when i'm writing from the perspective of a group of people that involves both male and female
i've never done a piece exclusively from a male perspective
how do y'all experience it when you write from the perspective of the opposite sex...
what causes you to want to do that...
what freedoms does it allow you that your own viewpoint doesn't?
sorry...i went into psychology mode... ************************************** "When flowing water meets with obstacles on its path, a blockage in its journey, it pauses. It increases in volume and strength, filling up in front of the obstacle and eventually spilling past it..."

"Give me the Nay and sing, The song in tune with hearts. The laments of the Nay will linger Beyond the fading of sins. Give me the Nay and sing, Unmindful of troubles and cures. For each man Is nothing more than a watercolor sketch."
-Khalil Gibran
poetry doesn't have to have words. there is poetry in small places that poets are fortunate enough to be able to see. we're the translators of those miracles.

poetry is a lot like the game of chess... every move should be both offensive and defensive. you want to protect you initial idea yet try and fork the readers emotion and logic...
