The heart is elastic, it does stretch and contort out of natural shape, it does seemingly tear at the seams when stretched, it does puff and flatten and exhaust, but its regenerative powers are much greater than gravity, it does die and rebirth and re-girth and fill with more love than before. It does take on a jade color when bruised. But, it does recover its vermilion and return to original form.
