"November Artist of the Month: Freestyle Board Collabo"
Sat Nov-08-03 09:16 AM

Last year around this time, The Anthology and Lunchboxxx, our then moderators, decided to extend the feature to the entire board and have collaboration pieces all month long!! Well, folks, we're doing it again!!!!

So here are the rules:

IMPORTANT: Do NOT post the authors in the title bar. We want folks to read the work and not pass over work just because they don't recognize the name. Save that for the end of the post.

{added November 03, 2003 -

Example: you write a piece with dustydiapers called "as the mitochondria evaporate". don't put "me and dustydiapers collabo" in the title bar...put the name of the piece. we want the focus to be on the writer's work...not who wrote it.}

1. Pick whoever you want to collaborate with and write a piece with them.

2. When finished, either poet will post the title of the piece in the subject bar, and submit the poem...well, you get the point.

3. If you are responding to someone's piece, place it under that piece's title.

4. Give love as well as waiting to receive it.

Congratulations, ya'll. You are all phenomenal. Now go collabo!!!

I know you can't stay
but more than my face falls at your leaving,
it comes to this every evening,
I listen to your love tight against my ear,
I hear every word,
no, I lick every crumb,
you spill languages that sounds like understanding,
no man connects the pieces
and blesses me even though Im broken
the way you do my distant,
but truest inconsistency we have most in common
is what we're missing,
i fast to save my soul on fire
but arm's length just doesn't do justice to us,
you make me laugh in spite of myself,
you don't blame me for my quiet (listening)
or get sick of my street spells (daydreaming),
spirit seeking Oshun whispers
I comprehend so I keep her near
forget belief, I will suspend faith to un-need you,
will work for food but noone can expect,
a spark ignited won't fight for air,
oxygen energy expressing carbon infinitely,
Im intensely waiting for you intimately,
serum in motion encased in body magnificently,
my enemies even know my weakness
and burn the roads between us

Beauty has now become
and always has been mirages,
i hear tears rolling down your face,
only to know the elongance behind them,
i cant hear sin falling,
too busy trying to hear your heart call my name,
i want to swindle your pain,
erase your fears,
embrace your hurt,
but trails between us has burned,
deserted to where we cant see inbetween,
but we can still feel,
i melt the insecurites of your doubts
to strengthen our trust,
i wouldn't lie to wonder around
because even though you're pictures away,
you're the only one i want,
the only soulmate my heart wants to dance with,
the only one that looks wonderful in everything,
peaceful around anything,
it hurts to not play and identify the certain hidden parts
of you,
touch the warmth of your skin,
the wetness within you,
i can only settle for the intelligentence you have,
which is where your true beauty lies
that cant be measured, described or judged,
i have to settle for how your dreams make me dream,
what is it that you have that has me so endeared
and i havent tasted you yet,
only breath your breaths through telephone lines,
teleporting sensation,
when will our windows be close enough to touch one another

A AmberGirl and Decstar production. Am's first, me second. to our lovers who awaits our warmth as much as we await theirs. J, i love you.

there's no way ya'll take us alive,
unless you pull tha trigger on yaself and die,
warp speed ahead of you actors,
i dont gotta spit, you rappers,
i feel like a raptor,
i'm still chewing shit you'll never capture,
you faggots not on this level,
super duper collaboration, including tha shovel,
ya'll rather shoot at tha mouth,
play games of cat and mouse
til i burn every monitor in ya house,
playa, we'll spit you out,
grow a pussy and maybe i'll talk to you,
of course i got tha tools on me but i dont need em, i'll let my presence talk to you,
timb's stomp right thru u,
and nah, fucker, you gotta understand that we are both AMAZIN,
no need to pick us apart, we'll both leave you cajun,
i'm really not heated from friction,
or tongue twitchin,
neither from your predictions,
my pen'll fuck u up in between lines worse than karma sutra positions,
you missing the point and it dont need a answer,
come try to come at us, we'll diagnois you wit cancer,
dont make us put ya style on a respirator,
with the rest of you haters,
to the n'sayers

this gang bang
brought to you by … a strange team
decstar and amazin
cot damn it! … the game changed
but what still remains
is the king and forensic teams
struggling to find a motive for the choke
strangling
a picture’s worth a million words
so picture me hanging weak mc’s
from trees
with severed knees
and the caption reads
“you can’t walk the walk of the King …so you won’t be needing these..”
I appease any tease …and spit it at any rate
And fondle ya post unsuspectingly like date rape
The air I breath between true mc’s is a gape
Cause the closest you getting to this rhythm is the starting gate …
Fast and furious …wit it when I spit it deals the fate …got you curious like Kenyans …in a race

you know what tha fuck it is. tha unlikely, unusual collab, Decstar and Amazin. ya'll better recognize. me first, Zin second verse. get ready to lay down, playas.

Mob mentality
Comrades' strength lies in numbers
Friends are for the weak

Contradiction man
comrades are strong friends combined
to fight oppression

the true oppression is the lesson you need to feed,
stressin the greed of deeds,
blessin the seeds,
i curse the whole tree,
nursery of lemmings leap from the same cliff,
my spine remains stiff,
defy the lame whiff,
or sniff- i'm sorry, STENCH of the in-crowd,
my backbone won't allow my brow to dip in the direction of
infection,
purge the whole section, leaving one, for my survival,
i don't need a so-called friend to put an end to all my
rivals

Seeds smile at trees
withers are nature's yawn
proud predecessors are
swallowed by innocence and
cartwheels spin the horizons
of my mind, a child evermore,
in time to the seething acceptance
I see and feel in sonic intervals,
everything in it's proper place
at any given moment, full of the trust
that that comes when you know that
music is your very best friend

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This has been, a G-Squared and Chaotic production. I wanted to try something different, and G was kind enough to lend his voice to the task. The order is simple. We went tit-fot-tat on two verses. It was meant to be a ying vs yang type of thing. I led off with the negative energy, while the positive vibes were all G.
Before anyone asks, no I don't feel this way about friendship... well... not completely. I just took my anti-social vibe and magnified it a bit.
I felt the ying & yang tug~of~war (back & forth) in the difference of opinions regarding FRIENDSHIP! -- *nice*
I'm sure you don't necessarily feel THAT negative about friendship *NOW* -- But I can see how your sentiments expressed in this flow could be true -- Resulting from being burned or backstabbed in the past, nahmean?
You two really gave interesting, opposing stances on the subject with clever~ness & finesse!
Like a well-executed relay , the hand offs here were carried off lovely. The poem read more like two sides of the same person, someone fighting with their own conscience.
i felt like you could have done more with it, i love the idea
really nice idea guys, peace
Poet A
I am dangerous wild
Somehow I lost my ability to believe in myself
And I don't want to be here any more. I'm lost.
Don't let love go to waste.
Emotion
I just wanna take care of your wounds.
To kiss the places where your scars have never fully healed
Because I'm not fully healed.
I know that my life is in your hands.
Right now you need to understand that I am more than human
But i am nothing with you
Poet B
As I gaze into myself
through the mirror of your eyes
I see the despair that once was me
fading sweetly from my purest places of black
Yet inside I fear the closeness and intimacy we create
I'm scared of the things you make me feel
And though I think I fear losing you
.....gaining you scares me almost as much
Still it's not you that I fear but myself instead
And what may come of love
Poet A
we are the blues singer inspiration
a haunting melody over the bayou
stories told to scare children to sleep
beneath the gray and imposing sky
we seek to find shelter in others..
the unspoken truth binds us
with whose iii do i see you.
lingering in your shadows
always waiting
always longing
always sighing
restless
you are a dream that fades with the dawning of the day.
your name slides across my lips as my eyes open
the unspoken truth binds us........
Poet B
You try to untie my soul.
But Add only another knot.
Love is just a fable I know by heart
A hunting tale that methodically follows me
Yet refuses to acknowledge my presence
as with arms outstretched to a dying sky
I plead and yearn to be completed.....
either and answer to unasked question,
or just an end, end of pain existence,
anything that will save me from these
bleeding cuts that never heal.......
wounds that run deeper than the soul itself
fragments of meaning and shades of unforgiveness
pain so unbearable it surpasses death
How can a one-winged angel ever fly.....
...only by being joined by another....
beautiful you with damaged me
such effort in holding the pieces together
allseeing you with desperate me
somehow becoming one in my mind
Poet A
You see beneath my skin
Licked the hallows of my wounds
And cried your tears into my jagged crevices
And what may come of love.
always just out of reach
And if you should fall asleep first know that I will
Not be long behind.
Come weep your tears in my lap
Let your sobs rack your body
Howl your pain to the heavens
Weep my tears
standing on the edge of madness and seeing you across the void standing on
the same edge
i know you
i know the name of your soul
i know that this is not the lifetime for us
you are the heaven glorious in your brilliance
i am the sea
floating just beneath the surface so that it is your face i see as my
reflection.
the night is given to us...beloved of eurydice
so howl your tears
call out to the night sky
cry out
and i will answer
Poet B
And though I occasionally fall from the sky
your always there to catch me
in hands soft with the velvet
of unspoken devotion
and cushion my crash
with fingers that close
around me,
strong but oh-so-gentle
like butterflies made of
a child's innocent faith
I will hold you there
lips pressed to my scarred knuckles
whispering strength in your tired ears
as you breathing hope into my heart
quenching my thirst with your depths
and singing me to sleep
on waves of quiet lullabies
sung by this adoring soul
And when I awake
I will open my hands
and lift you up to see the morning
revel in our flight
even as I lose you in the sun's molten glare.
oh, wow... that was really peaceful... how imperfect love can be viewed when we don't see ourselves as worthy... but i suppose it's the giving that gets us to being worthy, and you two definitely let the personas here give love... just one thing, how come they never really share love except at a distance or come close except at the fall apart stage?
peace,
WOW!
*sits still in amazement*
i am really feeling this you 2...this stirred some moods that havent been around in a minute...
the desperation expressed in this made me wanna go hide in some dark corner in the fetal position...
the tenderness and oh so co-dependance on each other was perfect, a lil overwhelming...
you two skillfully meshed into lovers in this one, i was kinda eerie for real...
Beautiful Drop, the part dec quoted and this part is what really standed out to me
voices in my headache
split my dome with lightning bolt precision
voices in my headspace
echo like canyon songs that make you listen
voices in my headcase
make my crazy seem saner
voices in my headcold
make this sickness a no-brainer
i can't shake 'em
they just keep on stirring
i can't erase 'em
they just keep recurring
i don't believe in beliefs anymore
my thoughts have just moved into doubt
and all i can do between my mind and my mouth
is to give 'em free reign and let them out...
choices tempt my left brain
to touch some other realm
choices clutch my wept veins
i cant see no other hell
choices bully my thoughts
into makin wrong decisions
choices accompany movement
i cant stand to see this vision
theres no justice
in a pool of many fishes
theres no justice
in the rain that caters ditches
the animals are loose and ready to run wild
but we all play it close under the micorscope of a
birthed child
single file, the design of the future
sleepless nights wondering why life recruited ya
so vices in my grip
keep me slow and steady
virtues i let slip
slide when they're good and goddamn ready
i stumble through this trip
i'm a blurry visionary
i keep records that all skip
and the little that i know varies
i can see cloudy now the sun is gone
i'm a solo creeping vine
all the first kisses you planted on
are fading seconds at a time
so now i pray me down too deep
i wish that i could save us
these lifestyles of the unknown and cheap
might make you rich and famous...
quite anxious language
with a closed fist ignited fuel
spokin dangerous
chose this to be ya modern tool
wrote these pages
life was simple before time was cruel
cant control the matrix
so we hold faith eye level like an iron rule
status becomes non existant
in the fields of catogory
hold still in persistance
cant yield to words derogatory
heads still but they listinin
wake the fuck up for the lil children!!!
make moves now before later caters ya death
if i had one wish yall the entire earth gets my last breath
Time After Time
Poet A:
There are times when my tears taste sweet
and I can choke down my words
about this miserable world
Times when munitions & earth’s collide
to play that bitter sweet dirge
Of history
Times when the earth stops spinning for a second,
when every cloud has a shape,
and I can outline it's silver lining with my fingertip.
There are times when my heart beats faster
and I can inhale the ocean's song.
Those are the simplest of moments.
When the stars show signs
of hope for tomorrow's yesterday
and everything turns to your shade of white.
Sometimes you can hear me crying.
It's always after the rain, they say,
when the sun can shine it's brightest.
There are times when the air tastes sweeter,
as I whisper secrets in its ear.
Times when understanding is the last thing on your mind
and all you want to do is forget.
The horizon lasts all day while I can recall moments
of pure perfection
Times when stars that fall as soft kisses
embrace the shadows and gamble the wind.
There are times when the moon doesn't set
and the sun refuses to rise.
Times when vowels mean more than words,
when letters equal out to romances
And sentences sustain sanity.
Sometimes I believe in fairy tales,
of happiness, love and peace.
Greatness envelopes the mountains in ovals
and you're left sleeping in the squares.
Then there are times when our eyes
look brighter in the dark
while sketching out the colors involved,
all in black and white.
There are times
when I can finally see
forever.
Times when things fall apart
And on occasion, unexpectedly fall into place
And I smile in my sleep
Sometimes……
Poet B:
Those times --
When the air tastes like raw sugarcane
I discern --
Tart juices of bittersweet pain
Hiding teardrops -- As fear drops
In camouflaged rain
The stain of sandalwood
Creates aromas of change
I smell it -- Burning like incense in the wind
I tell it: -- "Be flexible when you bend"
Spin --
Around adversity & obstacles built by men
For the forces of nature
And God's blessings are in our favor
Therefore -- I savor
Lemon~flavored lessons of life
Watching golden sunrises
Cutting horizons with a silver knife
Convincing strife that I can handle it
Candle it -- Under a flame of romance
Cuz every now & then I desire to dance
With destiny --
Melting heartbeats with poetic fires
Simmering serenity over the rest of me
But it's best to be aware
Of irregular weights in external balance
Sometimes I tip scales to the left
So ~centering~ can be a bit of a challenge
But *KnowOne* knows the future
And the past is far behind us
We keep smiling thru wars & turmoil
Praying for love to protect & remind us
(((That Time Heals All Wounds)))
beautiful bird
determined in its flight to
crap onto my head
running for cover
blindly turned corner i stepped
in manure instead
hopping one footed
attempting to clean my shoe
I slip falling down
frustrated ego
bruised but not broken i sigh
rise up to move on
bystanders laughing
I feel good inside having
brightened their morning
walking off slowly
rain begins pouring i watch
as nature unfolds
oh wait that is just
a lazy window washer
pissing from above
cloaked in excriment
washed in wasted energy
i stand bewildered
while still above me
the bird circles with bowels full
debating my fate
defeated i wait
the inevitable takes place
shit..it happens
a knowone and delrica collabo! oh yeah...forgot to tell the backdrop. it was knowone's idea. we went verse for verse, he started...i ended. this was the most hilarious thing i've done. good times! we gots to do that again
"g"
an alchemist I
distill my lifetimes
into this moment and
within it I
trickle music up
and down
my chakras,
and it spills
into the breast
of the universe
where it sits
full of nutrition
until it's needed
"p"
heated as I dance in celebration
tasting lactation
from the breast of the u~ni~verse
where the first shall be last
and the last shall be first
climbing karmas ladders
to sweet musical feasts
served on sterling silver platters
by bipolar beasts
but your nectar'd nutrition
brought cerebrals to fruition
hearing distilled alchemy
had me tasting your ambition
"g"
But my
substance
echoes in arcs
that grow wider too,
over expanses of space
a rendition of the tweaking
of the pentultimate superstring
that sets all of creation into perpetual
motion, an ocean of soundscapes cresting and
cascading, mingled with temporal language and
the hint of mint, at once a statement, and a suggestion
"p"
aahhhh refreshing mint --
bent on chillin' to acquired tastes
based on lethal language flow
where Mic~ro~cosms & soundscapes grow
I sho' nuff' know --
what I heard on "G's" e~((motion))~al, music renditions
sent me his awesome CD under Birthday present conditions
beats & lyrics stream hysterics on anotha level of deep thought
if he hadn't given it 2 me as a gift, I mos' def' would've bought
Why bother sleeping with this kind of art to take in and digest? This piece is alchemy at work. The result of that process is beauty such as this. Love the way you two played with sounds and built off each other for the glory of music.
You gets MUCH love.
for you i want to be like the illest poet ever
that female mc who spits clever,
writes whatever
and never
forgets to rhyme
with lyrical thoughts always on my mind
from sunset til sunrise,
for you i want to write bold words that hold down and overcome the insanity,
witting soundful words that are invisible to read
and only to be heard when said by me,
i want to be like a magical pencil with unbreakable lead
that writes strong words to to be proofread,
originality should not be corrected,
this is off the subject
but i want to be takin to an exotic place in my bed
and make love until deep thoughts reach my head
and then before its to late i will try to remember
everything beautiful
done and said,
so then i can grab my pen and write and reminiss
while you kissed my lips,
these feelings are so intense,
if described in one sentence,
it would not make sense,
it would make dollar bills,
considering every thrill,
everything you do to me is ill,
like head to toe body chills,
you make me feel fantastic so lets keep this on the real
yea, real lovely and deep
and everything in between,
i love it when you're all of that and more,
so i can be the words for emotions, healings for the sores,
the vibrates to your callings,
the catches to your falling,
my wifey (pen) bleeds my passion with infinite ink for you,
as i have infinite heat for you,
everlasting love, so conceptional,
so exhilerating, you are truely sexy and beautiful,
see, i want to be the name that keeps your flood gates
broken,
the eyes that stops your motions,
the voice that sets fire to your insides,
the touch that leaves you mesmerized,
if food was for thought, i'm full off you everyday,
you're the reason why sometimes i write winter for spring
and christmases for May,
why i fall back in realms of us
and playback situations and ways to make you blush,
rewind things i want to do
and then do them to you,
see, we're off subject again,
but, what were your dreams like before i stepped in,
tell me so i can write them down and throw them away,
let me IN deep so you wont have to be ashamed,
i can write stories of your motivation,
then paint canvas of our once segregation,
but just let me write you tales of "i love you"s
with adjectives of troubles,
verbs an nouns of beauty
and adverbs of me,
you can do the part of speech,
but we can both do "you are so special to me"
let's jus write and speak
THA LIONESS and DS givin ya'll a lil something on tha love tip. she first, me second. j, i love you
Made strong I've held up against the wind
the back and forth shifted my perspective
forced me to focus my direction
tune into the eternal within
exposing memory bares the broken lines
jagged minds can make for an unfortunate climb
no more knuckled hold on slipping shoulders
I've settled into this craggy rest (release)
with synthesizing sistas who spin
like straw into gold
word magicians
sistas with baby bags in sling backs
or tracks weaving down the back
wrapped earths essential in cyphers
and sho nuff mackstresses with little tact
we
mirrors for each on which to lean
until we break the images that stand between
self and the woman becoming
B:
Whole with our enlightened being
Got to repair them cracks
Girl, you are my confidant and friend
Not the scapegoat to invest my failings in
No need to compete or roll our eyes
Grab your seed and I’ll grab mine
Set our perceived differences aside
Teach the youth how to cross this line
Into our future of
Self love
Sister love
Human love
It’s all divine
Meditated on life
and asked the creator above
Help me understand
and gain this thing called love
He gave me hardships and mis steps
Fire and brimstone imposed by others
Battles with myself
Friends, Parents, and lovers
I aint saying I don’t love my brothers
But I have to explain
That I can divide my pain by
Vibing with another lady
On an emotional plane
So I thank him for all women
White, yellow, and black
Ladies
Come Close
We gotta have each others backs
A:
Standing on shoulders of ancestral mothers
who knew struggle ingesting their pain like pills
the end result the same, the will survives
where the flesh cannot
when he left you thought your heart would stop
but its not hardly over
lessons taught we stay at the board
the more we learn the more we grow
extending the energy that exists
no boundary points just uplifted fists
we pick our battles and yours are mine
Im not referring to the schoolyard kind
playtime's over we breakin molds
crossing lines, leaving the baggage behind
We are made strong and holding on
but breathing deep these days
making sure we rest these days
come on Sis, let's break some bread
bless the temple, anoint the head
keep the foods simple ital
we shall press on become the future
of our foremother selves
Throw a molotov cocktail through ya atrium,
the age we in, aint engaging him,
instead left the fire changing him,
to a rose, I suppose to take the burn off,
plant it in a half-full Smirnoff,
peep that it wasn’t half-empty?
Simply a late-bloomer,
recreate the mental state, with a wish to stay sooner,
wait…I’m approachin the zone,
that feels like home,
where demons shake horns,
with halos, there goes…
the land where pimps get smacked by they ho’s,
these times are awakenings to those that doze,
its like a fresh change of clothes,
I might, shine like twilight,
My fight, is not the same as yours,
But by night I overcame the shame that grows,
untamed my name, and found a grain that flows,
but to be the flame that glows,
first i had to change my reign (rain) to snows…FROZE...
now today has come
for some, they see an eclipse
and with these lips
I replace the gun for them
so with open arms we embrace the sun"
"p"
The sun quickly runs from the moon's eclipse
It stumbles & trips over twilight
The highlight of my night
Slowly approaching the (((Zone)))
But I don't wanna be alone
So I pull out my bag of miracles
Sphericals circle my dome
I'm dizzy from spinning back to the beginning
-- Of highs & lows --
The land where pimps get smacked by they ho’s
Where Emperors strutt they butts with no clothes
Invisible foes throw blows at those who close the doors to metaphors
As rain heavily pours from deep mental shores
Whirling round & splashing with lightning flashing
Cashin' checks carelessly written with the tongue
Mayday, Mayday -- The leak is sprung
Electrocute the moon -- Freeze the sultry sun
I embrace miracle's face -- We melt -- Becoming ONE
With liquid hourglasses -- Watching minutes turn to hours
The day quickly passes -- Mist turns to sandy showers
Mentality changes with the passing of time
Those who sleep thru the storms miss pyrotechnics prime
I spent an eternity thinking on a moment,
When God truly has no opponents,
When my soulmate and I are of one component,
Yet the visage of dreams is the only place that has shown it.
have i blown it? I question whether happiness is real,
Or if happiness is just being okay with the cards life deals.
maybe it's a shady clip or kind of glimpse concealed
By the lies and hurts of others and the pain they wield.
So I yield to a smile, just to shield the guile
Brought about by past scars and all the wasted while
File it under miscellaneous, but there's a pattern to the tile
On life's bathroom floor, where I sit indian style:
It goes love, hate, push, shove, great,
Small, insignificant, on time and late,
Give, take, stay bent to be straight
Have a sit down with women I stood up on dates,
They all say I guess we just couldn't relate,
So for now I stay single on the search for a mate.
Sometimes I sit at home, wonder and contemplate
How foolish of me to think that I could debate
With the laws of life: it's each man for himself,
So sometimes, I gotta stash my heart on the shelf.
And i'm sorry if i've turned some things off from you,
But somethings deserve just a solo run through.
"p"
Deep thoughts cross my mind at diverse times
Filling space like smoke curling in ringlets of reality
Double~Laced with misted mushroom particles
Blooming into pods of passion & pity
Searching 4 something sweet
Something so unique & pretty
as third eye sight love & tenderness
Violently thrown into the abyss of nothingness
Floating thru the cosmos of osmosis
Transmigrating from soul 2 soul
Spinning dangerously out of control
Shit gits old after awhile
But still I *smile* like a goofy child
~Intoxicated~
by second~hand smoke residue
Sticking to my heartbeats like super~glue
Cuz after all these years
I still can't help but feel deep love for you!
Always / All Ways
I’ll chew on the bullet if you can inspire me
Enough to write a lifetime of passion and regret.
I’d ravage your intention so good,
You’ll be coming back for more;
Like the junkie that you are.
I’ll knock you up, and make you carry 9 months of a mistake
That can’t be treated like one.
That needs to be loved enough to later understand
Its lifetime of passion and regret.
These thoughts are laced with mania,
Fixed on drugs, and stuck on whiskey dreams
That you CAN'T make come true.
I’m bent, hung over the couch,
Debating if I should point the gun
At eighteen years of apathy;
Or you.
"p"
Go ahead -- Shoot me!
Put me out of my misery
Your apathy ain't got nutthin' on my ability
To wrap my soul around your heart & squeeze
Tease regrets with $10 dollar bets of: "He'll Never Do It"
How many times have we done this before --
And how many times are we gon' go thru it?
Back & forth with drugs & drink -- What~chu~think?
Things are gonna be different this time?
Tell you what!
I'll get my Black Widow revolver -- You go git yo Nine
We'll have a duel -- The first to hesitate is a fainthearted fool
Poppin' holes in whiskey dreams -- Annihilating triple beams
We'll drink from streams of lamentation -- Pass out from intoxication
Sleep like the dead in each other's arms --
On a bed of nails under fate's moonlight charms
mind patterns trying to find ways, to abolish the fake and
swallow the hate, in 5 ways, or less I try to bring hiphop
back to the way it was, favor me savor me hiphop makes the
path safe for me, nowadays cats speaking blasphemy actually
I spit it passionly, bring my battle tactics cats hating on
my antics, cause Im spitting the exclusive new shit but
keeping the old school in me, simply cats is acting shifty
out to get me but none yall can rip me, my blood pumps
excessive amounts of adrenaline, hiphop rushes through me,
it consumes me and keeps my heart peddling, settling in my
blood like medicine, spitting from my heart like if it pumps
saliva, I conduct the fires that remain in my soul so when I
release my rhymes, I heat your mind cause I spit with lots
of soul, a hiphop prophet yo
Prodigious Poet:
I bomb atomically, follow my philosophies,
Obviously, Pro is on a poetic monopoly,
Mocking me, I'll steal your virginity, its robbery,
Free with the sodomy, possibly you're obsolete,
Battle-scarred, KnowOne, moderating tremendous,
Stupendous, archived every time my pen hits,
I'm trying to triumph, praying to Judah's Lion,
Iron bars, scared on my way to Zion,
But she's past nine months...
So the baby came crying, now I'm relying,
Trying to stay kosher, but those were the one's who crucified Him...
Poppa's Pen is potent, I'm hoping what I wrote,
Opens doors so yall call soar,
I'm trying to give them wisdom but everyone wants war...
So I continue to come raw and rigorous,
Don't fuck with the flow,
It's Pro-fuckin-Digious
Triumphant turns, it’s a new page
an Asian sage,
floats over heads, down in a daze
On the world’s stage
all players are pawns,
across the checkered landscape,
we move with brains bullets and brawn,
so check the mic levels, turn the treble to tremors,
we off the Richter, off ya sister, no incest sicker,
Now how you figure inbred rhymes are art?
You’ve been warned, we foreshadowed like The Ides of March
Clear skies, eyes movin’ but they never depart, they like darts,
Bullseye peep philosophy, navigate through the silence of a hollow tree
OKP, yo the science comes naturally
So what up? No courage to congratulate?
Not fukkin with us, you conjugate the verb masturbate,
so amass the hate, and all fake bourgeois notions
the page features nine proletariat poses...
In response to Reply # 0
R: i'm tryin' to be a badass
and yr giving me kisses and kitties.
how am i supposed to stay stone
when you melt me to hot chocolate city?
this isn't fun. this isn't fair.
my image is crumbling like crackers.
i try to puff out my chest
and you change my rancor to laughter.
and please stop with the smiles
your affection isn't impressive.
well, okay. the hell it ain't
and lord in heaven help this.
L: if it werent for your words
i wouldnt dream
no serenity in the sunrise
pushing stars off the skyline
painting promises of tomorrow
constructing images from juvenile building blocks
what you lack in honesty
you make up with combustible energy
resistance a tidal wave with a splinter of an oar
paddling uselessly, swirling around nature's drain
mercy!
im dancing with deceit
a date with an illusion
front and back
and from side to side
sliding around inside a slippery mind
feeling like im on fast forward, but hoping for a rewind...
R: this rocking the boat comes fully equipped
with rubber ducks and sinking ships
but i'm holding on the real for dear life
afternoons are dog day, tender is the night
and i rhyme too much.
and this is no joke.
the radio tells me
"grasp and reach for a leg of hope"
pull the other one, i say
this is just a conversation starter
i may be your sacrificial lamb
but i won't be your martyr
ain't nothin' up my sleeve
you get what you see
and we're all a little worse for wear
wherever that happens to be...
L: the time is now to uproot these tall tales
necessities of the past
have now become intimate in the present
turning your back, walking out the door
wont make the inevitable disappear
demons await those who feed off codependencies
i say this not to scare or frighten
i say this not to forgive
but i say this to help me forget
the wrongs ive committed
if it is you i must choose
i want all of you
not just the intoxicated fantasies youve created
or the slurred visions and daydreams
i deserve your real self
i deserve to know
if its wrong for me to want you one more time
if its wrong for me to desire your thoughts
to need. to be so addicted to your presence
then it was wrong from the start
to watch you drive away
to hide beneath my covers
to think of the somedays...
caught between the sweet and the sour
the salty and the bitter...
tasting a vision of tomorrow
but held back by the realities of the present
our time may end in an instant
but im holding on to every second
This pCe kinda took me onna roller coaster ride -- With some ^UPS^ & downs along the way!
It started off so sweet & cute with a lil' tug~a~war -- Back & Forth -- Kinda relationship steelo -- But then it got more serious -- Like the relationship had developed into summmthin' MORE -- And then it questionably turned bitter~sweet with the reality of life & love!
Sounded like the true trials & tribulations of love & relation~SHIPS that float over turbulent waters and then settle upon waves of wishes for calm waters to keep the journey going in the right direction!
Nice job you two! -- *wink*
I live in a dream world of atm machines that dance around me, and bring me things...
..we walk down a road of chocolate covered roses
where credit cards follow our travels whereever we go...
making purchases look like magic
turning mud into yellow brick roads...
telemarketers fly over my head like fairies
sprinkling sweet jargon on my mash potatoes
that melts in my mouth like butter..
and sticks to my stomach like cement
preventing my vomit
YES IM LIVING IN OZ SOMEHOW
but somebody changed the script..
..now instead of pixie dust I see angels getting blitzed off their own supply..
...using torn pages from the bible as rolling papers...
...and stuffing it with crumbled herbs that smell more like shreaded cash when you chief...
...and last night cinderella had to choose between suicide & bankruptcy...
...cause the queen of England still has her magic mirror...
..and aint no free lunch in america...
..just free-loaders that swing in your hair like ruppunzel...
..using your skull as just another rung in that corporate ladder...
watching snow white get boiled alive in the witches kitchen..
really just my next door neighboor trying to survive...
coming short like the seven dwarfs trying to save the ghetto from itself...
a sleeping beauty with the reflection of an ugly duckling
getting fucked by the boy who cried wolf ...over and over again...
..while we just slipped further and further in debt...
..with the chains no longer around our necks.. but around our wallets....
*P*
Wallets filled with a plethora of plastic --
Spastic --
Watchin' Alice In Wonderland's plans fall apart --
Like drastic --
Poppin' Collars -- Stretchin' dollars wide & long --
Elastic --
Jack & Jill went up the hill --
Told him she'd blow him for a $50 dollar bill
Tumblin' down -- Hell Bound --
Fell in shark filled waters an damn near drowned
Phones ring as sirens sing --
"My Country Tis' of Thee -- Sweet Land Of Liberty"
While "The Three Pigs" dig for that pot of gold
It's been bought & sold for a soul & a prayer
In reality tho, ain't nothing really there
Just a mirage disappearing under a lodge of wooden soldiers
Generals & Defense heads -- Walking deads --
Gettin' older not bolder
Marching to the beat of the same old drummer --
(((BUMMER))) --
Nothing new -- Dumb & Dumber -- Like Little Boy Blue
And the Boy Who Cried Wolf til' his ass got inna stew
Who can we turn to -- When real life is like a fairy tale
Color drains from complexions as the future looks pale
The ozone layer's twisted -- Earth is misted with tall kegs of ale
Piss flies in the face of destiny -- But to the rich it's just a tinkle
Maybe we should all get drunk & "sleep" away this lifetime
Like Sleeping Beauty & Rip Van Winkle
Wake Up! -- And Smell The Plastic Roses -- *smirk*
infinite words infinite possibilities
neverending thoughts and a pencil that wont stop ina mind of
trying to make it to the top and rise words non stop
hot soul speaking my mind and spittin flames burnin their
fake game and the lame ways
the lioness iam not able to be tamed see we are all
different but yet we are all the same through lyrical
skills
for words are like nature
half reveal and half conceal the soul within.........
and the heart that makes it,
pen strives and never fakes it,
slaying truth with knowledge,
wisdom with faith,
continue to elevate
and express myself exclusively,
inducively brutally demonstrating my qualities
with quanities of words preserved
to pinch nerves,
tha star i am sparkles lights better than any constellations
known,
mind pacing and racing time
to be equal once again with everyone,
infinite challenges, infinite strength
I'm not sure WHO this collabo is s'posed to be from -- Since there was no indication at the bottom -- But it looks like MAYBE Amazin was one of the lyricists and I guess InstantArchive was the other! -- *shrugggs* -- (I could be wrong tho)
But never~the~less -- The flowstream was definitely filled with tightness!
WORD ^UP^
