damn this is close

first off, lif gets points for bringing it in audio- the beat was tight (again a beat i liked better than the cliche joint) although one thing is those "whoo's" are corny to me

BUT- as far as i know this is a battle of written rhyme skills so im gonna try to not include the audio in my evaluation

and that being said i gotta give this to whateva, altho by the SMALLEST of margins

tho this was the best line of the battle:

lif, being the reignin champ came raw as always, but i must say the concept of 'sonnin somebody's flow' is a bit over used on this site...the 'zin's choice' line was hot...so was the 'lurk mode' one...love how you played with the name...'15 0zs'...the ending was____...(fuck it you pick a adjective-phonte)

whateva, the bold one who didn't even flinch facin the current title holder came raw as well...although he uses the same damn concept of sonnin...opener was tight...damn more than her own fingers, youz a fool for that one...that endin was_____...(refer to above parenthetical quote)

yeeeeeeah man, hotness from both sides, as twas expected. hard one to call. Prolif gets an edge for puttin more effort, but that kinda gives Whateva an edge for spittin more effortlessly. Lif came out with no pulled punches even an ear bite or two, but Whateva had some good imagery and wordplay. All in all you both spit some heat, and it was cool to hear another lif audio, but cant let that affect the vote.

too many variables. in my opinion Lif takes flow and all out verbal slashing, Whateva got him straight out lyrically and with imagery. I think Zin said he wanted this as more of a LYRICAL testing, so by those standards my vote goes to who ever. I mean what ever. Whateva. congrats to both lyricists, both of you def brought it. peeace

lif's audio is delicious, however..ion think it should be considered as part of the 'battle'. that's like two people agreeing to battle it out with knives and one of them brings in an oozie.

so, in saying that, i didnt listen to the audio until AFTER i'd read both verses and decided that what's was better. they both come correct with it but what had a lil more edge and freshness this time. so if my vote counts, i vote for what.

i'd agree with that to a point. you're placing labels on people you know nothing about; people who when they give feedback that's negative to an emcee or otherwise, get their heads bitten off because they're not kissing someone's ass. people who would sooner follow the addage of "if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it". true it's a vote, but it's not anonymous and they possibly don't want to have to explain themselves, either. you say emcees don't catch feelings, but you haven't seen some of the posts in here where emcees will be like, "yo check my flow and tell me what you think" and then the minute someone does they'll be like, "man fuck ya'll. ya'll don't know what you're talking bout, this shit is fresh, blah blah blah blah".

I'm glad theres a mix too, I reply to both kinds. I like how it changes back and forth too, it does create more interest. I didnt mean it shouldnt be that way, I just mean that it gets oversensitive sometimes, but thats not peoples fault, if they feel that way then they should say it. we're all obviously comin from different places, I see myself as more different cause I dont really listen much to okayartist type stuff, I came here through a friend. its def a better thing to have different kinds of writers on here, I just meant to say that it causes misinterpretation a lot of times, but thats better than being boring. peace

my vote is for lif...though if I were him I wouldn't have included audio because it obviously prompted some folk to vote for the challenger based simply on the fact that he had no audio (whether yall admit it or not)...I'm not saying dude didn't put up a commendable battle but he clearly wasn't the better cock in this fight (wow how bout that as pun, not intended though probably assumed by most...lol)...my suggestion is to leave the audio out in future battles and keep it on the page...lif is the king of the ring for at least one more battle in my opinion...

The offishal Wednesday Night Fights rules

1. Each contestant will spit 16~32 blind bars and place them in my inbox.(please send it how you want to appear or there will be a feededucted from ya paypal account lol)
2. We are looking for more lyrical content and less jokes.(the voters will vote accordingly)
3. The winner of this weeks WNF will pick his challenger for next week (not to exceed 3 weeks)
4. This week winner reserves the right to for go his week and pick a hot battle that he/she would love to see.
5. After the third term as WNF champ the champ must take a week off vote but can be put back into the pool.
6. All cheap shots (getting at people) in the thread we would like to be kept at a min. so please move all comments not concerning the actual battle in the inbox. So tell ya peeps don’t get mad when you losing!!!!!!!
7. All audios are welcomed!!!!
8. Voting will end on Friday nights at 8PMest
9. Poet competitions will be given one topic and send blind poems to the inbox
10. In the case of a collab battle both verse will need to be sent in the same inbox placed how you want them to appear
