it coughs, awakens, bright-eyed and roaring.

I shiver,
night is the fear in me,

I yawn, bored with shivering.

Midnight city scenery is life,

Except, you notice the city, the suspicion it carries.

STOP.
Potapsco Street is still,
as the blushing traffic light takes a brief hiatus from
green and yellow.

There is a lump in my pockett.
Spare change i suppose, more of a hiderance,
of a burden, than an aid.

I breathe,
more of a sigh than a breath,
and for the moment, I see myself as a tea pot.
Sitting, waiting, whistling, warm, alone...

It's a winter breath, the kind with steam...
My mind sees correlations like that,
since tea pots steam and whistle...
and I am alone.

I hear rhythms being played on my chest.
I'm sure everyone is a drummer at heart!

The buildings are standing in their polluted sleep stance.
If they only had ears, I'd yell: "Hey! Down in front."
They were blocking the moon.

It's dark.
I uh...
the blushing has ceased,
the gap has closed, and there is a green face smiling at me.
I don't feel like smiling back.
Left suits my fancy.

There are people.
Pretty people. Dirty, drunken, broken, dragging, pretty people.
Somewhere between here and there,
I found myself.
Uncontrollably walking in their direction...
faster.
I follow the distinct smell of street life...

More briskly.
STOP! Fear is the liar in me.
Clankily, clumsily, coins kiss the coffee breath cup.

The picture in my mind-
of us,

to become ONE large candle-
the passion, I mean the flame,

But it's not,
and something like hot wax bleeds from within my eyes.
To make conversation,
I'd ask if I had something on my face-
a streak maybe,
but the distance between us is too great,
and you are too far away.

I like how you built this piece. You kept with the theme, but had different elements unrelated to wax like the camera. Some times I feel a piece to be redundant and boring if it's just about one thing. Metaphoric or not. Liked this.

engulf: anger,sadness, happiness changing to squared rolling wheels, penetrate the projections of emotional mattresses... I feel open.. constantly.. dream of my transparent body unzipping my skin and stepping out of me.. and I run to cotton-candy padded fields and glow with bliss, and he will wait with his arms open- like that of jesus and view me- patiently...cuz he knows I tripped on my way there and I'm all bruised... ~ me

Buy i didn't. Instead, i said i was sorry...but what i really meant was i'm sorry i ever met her, and that she makes me feel so alive, but i'd tell her not to smile either when i say that because she kills me everyday. That's the only way to know you are alive--to be killed. And in the morning i feel like looking out the window all day and not saying a word to anyone except to that great friend inside my head who always listens so wonderfully.

So, i said i was sorry, because i was...i'm sorry i gave her all she could ever want.

She is a klepto and a felon because she stole my heart and stabbed me, and now dead. i'm just--dead.

i think i know this sentiment.. we all do.. if only ..

let's just practice sayin what we really feel one day and see how that goes and if it goes the way it should then that should make us a stronger person..

but sometimes the words don't match up with the impact of the feeling...
