Okay so I'm sure most of you heard the Rap Up 2002 right? It's August and everytime I go to a station & sometimes just out on the street I always get asked am I gonna do another one. I did it as a joke, I never thought I'd still be doing that song at shows now. Anyway here's my question, who'd anyone wanna hear that? For real? Was it that entertaining?

What would be so bad about being associated with time? I wouldn't want to be known as the Pepsi Guy, but the passing of time was a process that always seemed to be real non-offensive to me.

if making a clever song annually is a gimmick, it's not a bad one. i dont know anyone who disliked the 2002 rap up, and this year has had some pretty good moments to goof on, so i'd personally like to see you tear it up again, i mean as long as its on a beat from this year and shit (which im sure is a given). go for it skillz!

Not enough people heard the 2002 one to end up sticking you with a label as "that guy". I think it's safe to do another one...and I loved the first one.
because i didn't hear it. Remember that there are still millions of hip hop heads that don't know who you are at all. To me, its a chance to reintroduce yourself through something timely and clever. And it will give you more exposure than it did last year because the industry heads remember.
Don't worry about being known as the "Rap Up Guy". Whatever makes you happy and/or successful is worth doing. Do you think ?uest cares about being known as the "afro guy"? I mean every artist is pidgeonholed in some way. Its inevitable. So if you can't beat em, join em.

the concept ain't bad, though. depending on how may different ways you can flip it. topically. over different beats.
frankly, i liked the ugly joint much better. not that i didn't like the rap-up. just thought you made things a little more deader over the bubba sparxxx beat.
