I go to Boston University and am coming back from the library at about 8PM. I walk into my apartment building and smell weed and booze. This seems odd to me on a Wed Night, so I open my door and see Black Thought and Knuckles smoking a blunt on my couch. My jaw hit the floor and it took me a good few minutes to comprehend what was in front of me. The Roots were playing Boston College tonight and Black Thought got in trouble for smoking in his hotel. He met one of my friends from Boston over the summer and had her number. So he called her and she brought them over to my apartment. So I chilled for a bit with them, smoke and drank a lil, took some pics and they left to go to the show. I woulda gone to the show, but I got an exam tommorow. Shit, it was still ill to have black thought smoke blunts on my couch.

the best SMOKING WIT CELEBS styory i've heard was from back years ago. these true southern bell chicks, that i've known since our moms were in lamause (spell?) together, and my boy were at some show in nashville that snoop was at. the night before in the hotel they met some cat who was a manager of some talent and hooked them up with credentials. the next day they linked up with snoop and his crew backstage. let me reiterate these girls are SOUTHERN BELLS--one is helping run her family's dr. pepper bottling plant after going to ole miss, one is in vet school in birmingham, the other was a flight attendant, and my boy doesn't even like hip-hop (tool, new metal, and shit. so, these folks really couldn't appreciate the hilarity of smoking blunts with dog-pound-gangsta number one and having more dope delivered by the grocery sack (literallly). one of the girls even kept a roach for a while. i just thought it was a story worth sharing.

Thats cool man. I played h.o.r.s.e. with Knuckles and Mac Dub (15 yrd. old up-and-coming mc) for a about 2 hrs. before they played a show at my school last spring (Keene State). Knuckles was mad cool and friendly, and he's got some skills on the court too. Ah, if only I could have got some pics.. All in all, it was a real cool experience.

Seriously, the story you just told has absolutely NOTHING to do with this kid's story of Thought smoking in his apartment. I could see if he was like "yeah then I asked for backstage passes" but this kid went about his studying. Apples and oranges, man. And compared to the usual pseudo-bohemian nut-hugging bull-ish that y'all condone on a regular basis, this story is refreshing. I'm glad you had a cool experience Heiro, guest list and hook-up free.
i think some of these insider heads of this site (the non-artists with bold OK's by their names) are bigger groupies and status nerds than the people they spend all their time trying to turn their nose up at.
Yeh I mean it was nice to just chill with BT and Knuckles. I mean I was pretty star struck for awhile, but they were at my place for a solid 3 hours. We talked and listend to music, they even played a few songs from their new record cause they had their laptop with them. Shit sounds pretty ill, i can;t wait. I'm thankful something like that happened to me, I'm never that lucky.

is the business that this post is putting out there. sure, any fan has the right to be excited about getting to hang with one of their favorite artists, and they might even want to share their story with other fans ... but its all about the way you share your story and what parts you reveal and what other parts you choose to keep to yourself.
