I have given up. Cats asking for $400 and more on craigslist for the Bmore show. Anybody who pays that price is crazy. They could fly to another city and see the show for that price. I wish they were doing two shows. I think they could of easily sold out both. Looks like I will be seeing these cats at another time another place later this summer.

I think it could work for some cities and not for others. I was wondering though here in Baltimore why the show is starting so late. I know across the way Frankie Beverly and Maze are playing at 7:30 but that is a different crowd.

BUT I can't really knock them because somebody will pay that much. I just will not feed into their greed. I want to hit the DC show but I am not feeling the show being at Fur. As you know with a Roots show the crowd plays a big role in feeding energy to the group and I am not familiar with how shows go down at Fur. Heard it might be a little up tight. Who knows, I may still go.

They are still doing hundreds of perfomances a year. Why not take a plane and get a hotel in a city where you coudl get a hotel, non-sold out tickets and airfare for $400. Plus you get a nice vacation.

To my somewhat amazement, theres still tickets for the Philly show at the electric factory and its with common.
It should be a killer show. Its a fairly small place, and is standing room only.
tickets are only $17 (plus ticketmaster b.s.)....and philly is only like 1.5 hours from Baltimore if i remember correctly....not to bad for a saturday night....show over by 11....home by like 12:30-1

Two different people were selling a total of 6 tix for $100 a piece and they sold all of them.
I heard ticketmaster is considering changing their method of selling tix to an auction style. So good seats will always go to the highest bidder. Which sucks for us who can't afford to be a high roller.
Good luck getting a ticket. Maybe check e-bay or just get to the show early. I'm sure someone there in line will have an extra ticket you could get for a reasonable price.
Im talkin with some dude now and seeing if he'll give me a reasonable price. But you have to understand, while 400 dollars is fucking rediculous, Roots is doing NEW stuff, Kweli is doing NEW stuff, and then the Pharcyde? What?!? Iont kno if they WILL be doing new stuff, but I'm not trying to find out after the fact.
I can't fuck with the DC show either. Dressing to Impress. It being inside that lame club, that atmosphere. Everything seems off about that show.

you can drive to philly, take a bus or the train, purchase a ticket and still have money to get a hotel for $400. it is not like the Roots and Kweli will never play their new stuff again. man, i will not even pay double the ticket price. that's just me though i'm cheap. ha! i love the Roots but I know I will see them again.
