I inboxed you way back when you first posted about the hard drive crash, and took the lack of response as a sign that you fixed the hard drive. I'm going to the show in Buffalo this Sunday, but as of now everything is still just on the iPod. Let me see if I can get this shit on to some DVDs by then. Handle sent me some program that's supposed to do it, so we'll see. I'll inbox you if things work out, but if not, I'll just drop it in the mail or whatever.
In the mean time, I have a question. The song titles on these Dilla beat tapes... who named them? Are those his names, yours, or what?
Alright so with great trepidation, I just plugged the iPod into my PC for the first time, and unfortuantely, it's formatted for a fucking Mac. Perfect. Let me see what I can pull, but at this point I'm going to need the stars to align if I'm going to get all this music on to DVDs by Sunday's show. Unless of course you can get your Mac laptop equipted with the proper program by then and you have like 3 hours to kill after the show, that's a whoooole nothing ball game my friend.

Xplay might be able to do it if you also bought MacDrive, but they are not Vista compatible yet, and he has Vista. (Macdrive is 59, xplay is 30, and they both have lame-o copy protection that can damage your ipod if you pirate them.) Xplay 2 *would* be able to do it without MacDrive but I've never used it and uit's *NOT* Vista comaptable. MacOpener and Ephod would work the same way.
The *safest* way to do it is to clone the iPod on a Mac, back it all up to DVDs and if the iPod ever takes a dump to convert the iPod to NTFS and copy the files back onto it.
