"I'll be sitting as guest guitarist touring with The Roots during the month of June."
Check this, guitar maestro Vernon Reid is back playing shows with Roots, I wonder what this signals on the Kirk front? Let us know Quest. Vernon is the man.

i met Capt Kirk @ a living colour show in Red Bank, NJ @ the Count Basie Theatre when he was playing w/ TM STEVENS as they opened for Living Colour.
When LC came on stage, Kirk was all out in the isles head bangin', and dancing and having a blast! I'd love to see Kirk and Vernon on the same Roots stage. Kirk we all now is on fire, and Vernon just shreds . Now that would be a tasty show

I'm sure Kirk admires Vernon like the rest of us. Great story by the way. So who was this band Kirk used to play with ?

Kirk played w/ TM Stevens. The show that night wasn't advertised well. it was all the way up in Red Bank, and Kirk really was the only cat fist in the air and dancing in the aisle. i was just taking photo's of the band(s) and just mesmerized by all the music going on. found a review of the show here too : http://www.pond.com/~dbrooks/lcolor-tmstevens-022004.html
