Hey, I am going to the D'Angelo concert on Aug.4, and was wondering that if I wore my Okayplayer shirt could I get backstage along with my friend to meet D'Angelo and ?uest? Has anyone been hooked up with backstage passes for D'Angelo, just for wearing or being spotted with an "Okayplayer" shirt? Anyone Know?

no, we do not get backstage, nore (with the exception of some mix up @ spitkicker) so we even INQUIRE.

no OKArtists owe, or feel obligated to get us tix, or bring us backstage, shit, they don't even have to say "hi!" (right Thought?)

I wore it to the D concert in France. They saw me and pulled me up on stage just cuz of my t-shirt. And then they picked out 5 gorgeous french women and I could do what I wanted just cuz I wore my shirt!!!!!!! They were ALL over me...."You Are soo Sex-ay in zat okayplayer t-shirt zat I vant to do cra-zay tings to you." Then when my orgy was finished, I went backstage with the group and drank about 20 litres of Crystal and D and ?uest were so inpired that they wrote a song about me and my shirt and invited me to a Jam session afterwards and Madame Taussad's Famous wax museum where they tore the roof off and even let me sing with them for a few songs. They made a wax copy of my shirt and then we went to the studio where we banged out 3 new songs just cuz our jam sesseion was so HOT!!!!

And all of this is possible for you as well!!!! Just make sure you wear your t-shirt at the show...who knows, you might even be as lucky as me!!!

It's hard as hell to get backstage at a D show...security is ridiculously tight. I saw him in oakland a few months back and I had okayplayer's own TinyTeanie trying to get me and a couple friends backstage but thibgs didn't quite work out. I did get to meet ?uest after the show, which was definitly cool...but okayplayer shirts don't guarentee ish...
