ha. canibus is a bugged genius. he probably signed onto napster with his song saved as "evidence - bobby fisher (eminem dis)", left his computer on all day, and let his track get wordlwide exposure. ha.

Oh and if you aren't familiar with the movie 'Searching For Bobby Fisher' go watch it, cuz you'll understand the concept behind the track alot better.

actually, the movie is purely fiction. Bobby Fisher really exists and was a US grandmaster (not very common). So they used his name in the title of a movie about "the next" US grandmaster.

The movie is not purely fictional- it is based on Josh Waitzkin (sp ???) who is now in his early 20s, but was a famous child chess player. My pops is a huge chess head so I know this stuff

It was actually "I Just Don't Give A Fuck" in which Eminem dissed Everlast. However, I didn't see it as much of a diss. More of a play on words.

Well, I was on Napster today and some kid sent me an instant message...as it turned out to be, it was none other than Kutmasta Kurt...so yes, they put the song on Napster and as some of yall have pointed out, most versions on Napster are messed up...
the real version is 2:56 long, everything else is fake....so anyway, after 30 minutes of downloading and searching, Kutmasta Kurt ended up emailing it to me...I think it's a tight track, no hook, no chorus, just Ev dissin Eminem...he ends his verse saying that he "saved the best for part 2" so there might be more coming up....
so right now, I can think of 3 ways to get the song...
1) Search Napster for a 2:56 min. version...
2) Kutmasta Kurt said he might put it on his website, so check for http://www.threshrecs.com ...while you're at it, check out the flash video for We All Over....
3) Send me an email at Fabian@bboy.com and I'll forward you the mp3...

But it's low to bring dead relatives into a dis song. Damn Ev.

This dis song is border wack. Some of the rhymes made me cringe. Not that Evidence is a good lyricist, but at least Everlast had some hot lines. Maybe Rakkaa should have helped ghostwrite or something.

what's up son? remember me? strange how i only pop up on these threads.

but anyway, the track is fairly decent. I liked it. The illest part of the track IMO was when he handed it over to babu, and babu starts dissin' him cuttin' sh*t up on the wheels. definately a nice touch. but i agree, i would have like to hear rakaa on it. The beat is the best one out of all this sh*t so far.

peace.

Evidence's diss outdid Everlasts by a lot. Better beat and better rhymes. I thought Evidence came very nice, though I wish he hadn't stooped to using fag and the feminine disses. None the less, the Chino XL line and the stuff about him not really producing his tracks was classic. Also, the Fred Durst thing had me laughing.

Honestly, I think eminem could win this but he has been disapointing me with these recent tracks. His lines aimed at Dilated have been paticularly weak.

"Dilated, go ask your people how I leave ya
with your three CD's, nobody sees, when they released
Evidence, don't fuck around with real MC's
who ain't ready for no underground beef, so fuck geeks"

So, basically he says they're obscure, but being obscure doesn't mean wack as Eminem should know (he wasn't exactly a star after first album or EP)

"Dilated you violated
Now you 'bout to get annihilated, we gon' bury you
Iriscience get choked up and yoked up
All you underground bitches get your throats cut"

This was just tacky. "choked up and yoked up?" And "all you underground bitches", please dissing the whole underground is a stupid thing for an up and coming act to do. It's almost like Eminem and Bizzarre forgot they were obscure, underground artists at one time. In fact, Dilated got more fame from their first 12" then D-12 had after an LP and an EP from Eminem and an EP from Bizarre.

Basically, you can debate if Eminem is beating Everlast or not but in terms of Eminem vs. Dilated, Dilated's killing him. It's not even much of a contest.

I liked the DJ Babu part, but that was about it. I just thought Evidence didn't sound comfortable over the beat. The beat IS decent, but Ev seems apathetic or distracted and his lyrics are nowhere near the top of his game. I have a feeling if Rakkaa had stepped to the mike it would have taken pressure of Ev and resulted in a better cut.

Honestly, I thought Quitter was the best written/produced/conceptually thought out.

Whitey's Revenge was the most forceful, and I was pleasantly surprised by Everlast's performance.

I think the battle between Everlast and Em may end up being one of the classic ones.

"I Remember" and "Bobby Fisher" are my least favorite. I cringed the most listening to Bobby Fisher, on I Remember, I was thinking "ok, I get that you're making fun of Everlast's singing, now rhyme and get it over with".

I hear Eminem has a brand new dis song coming out but they're not saying who it's about. I hope it's about Nelly or Evidence, but who knows.......

When you're snapping on somebody, there are certain places you don't go. For instance, back in the day, when someone's mother was dead, we didn't subject them to mother jokes.

Besides, you're forgetting Em had scrapped "Quitter" and it was never intended to get released, ergo he wasn't planning on dissing Dilated on wax as he had Everlast at the time it got leaked.

Whatever, though................

I know you consider Eminem untouchable, but right now, vs. Ev, he's down in the count.

Ev had:
superior beat, check it out, it was Or-igi-nal. And he hit home with nice comeback to him being a geek with the Fred Durst line.

Eminem had:
Evidence is a geek and his albums don't sell, although that's exactly where Eminem used to be. And Em knows damn well Evidence gets love from the underground and most heads who've gotten Dilated exposure.

And I think Evidence is a damn good emcee. Check out "last line of defense"

I haven't heard the ev song yet, but I think right now he's definitely up one. Now, i think eminem could still kill him, but I think so far in this battle people have been hyping up nothing. Quitter, which was supposed to be the absolute end to it, was two decent verses by eminem, followed by an almost word-for-word copy of "Hit 'em Up". That's not creative...just lazy. If this evidence song does one thing I hope it makes eminem actually write something...and get a decent beat for it.

I said Everlast's dis song was better. Why are you going on about Em instead of comparing Everlast's joint to Evidence's?

My argument for that? Again, some of Evidence's lines were so wack they made me cringe. Although the beat is decent, Evidence sounds mismatched over it. And as far as the Fred Durst line, poor Primo and Meth......... they're geeks too, I guess...

I thought Everlast rode the beat better and had some funny lines when he talked about taking over Em's family if he went to prison, plus the whole check for your DNA thing.

The only hot line Evidence had was calling Em a fake Chino XL.

Other than that, Evidence should have just squashed it. Before hearing this, I was curious about what a Evidence solo LP would be like. Now I know better. Underwhelming.

He's aight. I have the album. I have the underground singles. I have the unreleased stuff. It's mostly his voice. His lyrics don't place in the top 50, IMO.

Primo and Meth did collaborate with Limp Bizkit, but they don't ride their dicks in the way Eminem does. If Method Man ever dissed somebody for hating on Fred Durst, I would talk shit about him too. In fact, Primo's collaboration the Limp Bizkit almost sounded like "Okay, here's a beat now give me my 60 thou." He gave them his worst track EVER. It was almost like he was disrespecting them.

Primo says he doesn't produce for any artists he's not feeling. It was in Blaze somewhere. That would mean that Primo's officially feeling Limp Bizkit. If you think that's primo's worst beat, I respect your opinion, but I heard far worse Primo beats that year, such as the one for the Lox, and that awful beat for the Born Again album. Method was going on and on about how he loved working with Fred Durst, how Limp Bizkit was hot, etc. on an underground website no less. Not just a collabo son, they essentially went on record as saying they like Fred's shit/ respect him as an artist. Feel free to start trashing all your CD's featuring Meth and Primo now.

I didn't think the Ronny comment was cool at all. Dissing dead relatives is low to me. As for Fred Durst, I'm not a fan, but he seems to get crazy love from artists I respect for some odd reason, so I don't know how much of a dis it is when he's in good company.

>
>"It's an upset you lose the

Everlast's M&M/blond/Marilyn Monroe line was much more clever. This line was so-so.

Eminem already talked about the trenchcoat mafia. And with Dilated showing up in Teen heartthrob mags.........

Not hot at all. Sorry. Assuming what Ev claims, at the point Em still comes up with the music, he's in the vein of James Brown, who had Fred Wesley handle the musical arrangement. Besides, Don't Approach Me got all types of critical acclaim.

This comment may have been a low blow, but in comparison to Eminem's dis about Everlast's heart problems this line isn't bad at all. I think Eminem stooped way lower.

I'm sorry but Eminem is no producer. Save all that garbage man. You know what he does, he listens to what Dre's musicians are playing and when he hears something he likes he tells them to play it again for him. If slim shady is a producer then Puffy is a producer.

I disagree. So you'd be more offended if I made fun of you being cripple in retaliation for you dissing me vs. me talking about digging up your dead mother's corpse and jerking off into her skull's eye sockets? If so, fair enough, but I'd choose differently.

I heard he tells the Bass Brothers what he wants the beat to sound like and they play it on the necessary instruments, much like James Brown did with Fred Wesley. If you read something that said otherwise, I'd be interested to know where.

If you were just speculating wildly, more power to you.

Oh please, you expected primo to say "I sometimes produce tracks for artists that I'm not feeling."

I do have to concede here. I kind of blocked that Lox beat out of my memory. And I don't even remember what the B.I.G. one sounded like, so it couldn't have been good.

You guys think about things way to deeply and hang on every word they say. Just 'cause Em was once in the same situation as Evidence and disses him for doesn't mean that he's a hypocrite. Did Em not want to be noticed when he was a "geek"? Anyway, Eminem's "Quitter" isn't based on Evidence. If it was, he'd get hurt. Evidence's "Search 4 Bobby Fisher" was directly at Em, and it wasn't hard-hitting. OKay, FORGET EVERYTHING I SAID AND TAKE THIS TO ACCOUNT:

In a real battle, Em would kill Evidence. Hands down.
The breakdown:
Em has battle experience galore. Even if some of his ish is written, you rarely, or never, hear him say that same ish in a freestyle.
Evidence says the same shit over and over... Every freestyle I hear, it's a verse off his album.

I'm not an Em fan, but the facts are right there.

Honestly, this was a better track than I thought it would be. I am not a huge Evidence fan, but he came pretty nice, kept my attention well. The beat was nice (of course...Kut Master is always dope) and Babu was a nice touch. But where is Rakaa? That would have put this over the top! Does anyone know why he wasn't involved?

I'm sorry, but Eminem's diss songs were wack, well, at least quitter was wack. THe first track was original and funny, but quitter was bullshit, he sounded like a 12 year old throwing a temper tantrum because his mom took away his Nintendo 64. But that being said, if it was a freestyle battle, Eminem would kill Evidence. Unfortunately for him though, he has lost all his street credibility and won't be around too much longer...and he doesn't have the backing of people like Kut Master...

Evidence should have added:
--You call me a geek and say you don't have time for underground bullshit, but you would be nothing without your underground buzz.
--I am geek? I did this shit myself! You needed Dre to baby step you through it.
--Your whole first album's concept was biting Kwest The Madd Lad(right down to the skits) the only difference is you replaced the sexual stuff with violence (maybe that's why he was one of the first to get thanked on the album!)
--It ain't about sales, its about longevity, let's see who lasts longer?
--Black Sheep already did have your shit 10 years ago.
--Him being a closet homosexual, and that's why he's so anti-gay
in his lyrics
--Him getting his ass beat in high school
--Trying to be Black

oh yes, the proverbial "street" that rappers must be sure to appease starts and ends with the infamous hero of the ghetto kut master kurt. without the blessings of the kutmaster, eminem's songs will never again reach the ears of doo-ragged and ice-laden. or are these "streets" that you refer to actually the t3-alleys and cyber-blocks that the backpacker militia rides through so roughshod?

I love people like you, who just sit on the computer waiting for your chance to "cut and paste" messages and disect them to show your superior hiphopness. I never said he needed Kut Master to get street credibility, I was just mentioning that most producers who have been around for a while who were willing to work with Em might not choose to today. No, street credibility isn't a measure of an MC, but neither is record sales (as Eminem refers to in Quitter) I never said I was an MC, or a even a ghostwriter, so my comments about what Ev could have said were just...comments! Don't take shit so serious, I wasn't claiming to be some expert on the matter, they were just thoughts off the top of my head.

I wish I was as hip hop as you though...where I was too hip hop to have an opinion, where I was so hip hop, that I wouldn't state MY opinion, but just go around disecting everyone elses comments to show them how unhiphop they were. I'll try harder, maybe I'll be hip hop next year...

indeed...i sit at a terminal for hours sharpening the Legendary Blade of Hiphop Superiority patiently waiting for the opportunity to hit "reply with quote" to a djrav reply. maybe it's a silicone form of primal bloodlust, but t-cutting the soft underbelly of a vulnerable post is certainly how i get 90% of my jollies...forget scraping out pussy. i'm like lion-o with the quivering cat's eye sword when i wield that "reply with quote" weaponry.

anyway, this is what you originally said:

>Unfortunately for eminem though, he
>has lost all his street
>credibility

this implies that evidence enjoys street credibility that eminem does not. evidence might have the support of backpackers and okayplayers and, i'm sure, kutmaster kurt -- but that's not the streets. no artist has ever been successful off the strength of being an internet folk hero, not ras kass, not chino xl and not the mountain brothers. eminem gets played in clubs, urban radio and every other whip -- that, my friend, is the street.

>I wish I was as hip
>hop as you though...where I

>was so hip hop, that
>I wouldn't state MY opinion,
>but just go around disecting

>them how unhiphop they were.

c'mon, flare-scratcher djrav, you're the one claiming that working with producers of kut master kurt's ilk is somehow a mark of "street credibility", not me. i think that coronates you as "mr hiphop" for the day -- perhaps you can pretend your rawkus record bag strap is the pageant sash or something. and since i haven't heard the evidence rebuttal, giving an opinion on it wouldn't make much sense, would it?

>I'll try harder, maybe I'll
>be hip hop next year...

don't worry, as long as you keep thinking that the invisible scratch pickles are the litmus paper of street credibility, you'll continue to be "hiphop".

What's with all the "backpacker" references? Because my user name starts with a dj, I am automatically a backpacker and scratch pikles jocker? What are you, the anti-backpacker? How is that any better than a backpacker?

When I said "street credibility", I was refering to hip hop that hasn't gone so pop. I could careless whether or not Em is pop or not, (I try not to judge anyone (or any type of music) by how many records it sells), I was just trying to say that people like Kut Master and Alchemist work with Evidence, but Eminem is probably not going to get a beat from Premier anytime soon. That's NOT a bad thing (you don't need a Premier beat to be a good rapper), I was just stating that it probably won't happen...and, many people who consider themselves "big hip hop heads" who've been "keepin it real for years" may not have as much respect for Em today...since he's so pop. No, I am not saying that only underground hip hop is "real hip hop" and commercial hip hop is destroying real hip hop. No, I am not saying that I agree with these so-called "real hip hop heads" who are supposedly "keeping it real". No, I am not saying that Em needs a Premier beat to have respect, it was just an OBSERVATION. I am just saying that SOME people do judge people like that...on how commercial they are. When I said he "lost his street credibility" I wasn't saying that he "wasn't hip hop enough", or "street" enough, I was saying that SOME rappers are so sensitive about their image, and working with Eminem today may give many people the impression that they are "selling out". I could care less about who works with Em or Ev, I was just stating how some people take the commercial vs. underground shit so far that the fact that Em has sold millions and spends time dissing Britney Spears type people, it may have caused a large proportion of the so-called "real hip hop heads" to abandon him believing he's too pop for them now. Obviously there must be enough people who listen to hip hop that support him (he sold enough to prove that), but I was refering to his ex-fans that tend to think anything that sells really well is no longer hip hop.

I don't limit myself to boundaries such as "street" or "sellout", I was just saying that from my take, rappers who go pop very fast, tend to lose much of there core audience in the process. So I was stating that this has happened to Em....but I wasn't saying that I agree that people should abandon him and love Evidence cause he's "keeping it real" or anything; I was just OBSERVING what I have seen....that he's losing credibility amongst people who CONSIDER themselves to be "keeping it real". Maybe I wasn't clear before, I wasn't trying to say that one has more "street credibilty" than the other, I was just observing what so called "real hip hop heads" seem to think (at least from the ones I come in contact with).

You post basically says Em WOULD win, Em COULD win. Okay, but right now he's getting served. All the lines aimed at Dilated on Quitter were horribly flawed.

If you want to hear the track, go to hiphopsite.com and go to the new joints section - the full song is there.

yeah, you can listen to the whole track now at hiphopsite.com. it's under new joints. the track is a lot better than eminem's previous two songs as well as everlast's. i think the funniest line was when he makes fun of eminem's hair cut. check it out.
