I'm manning a watch-tower too.... I saw her perform in DC a couple of weeks ago - I was roaming around like a lost puppy in a black leather coat and green okp shirt, and she took care of me even though I was accidentally 3 hours early for the show... before sound check and everything.... I'm waiting to be able to get some new flo to listen to - can I get a single, a bootleg tape of a show, a poem or two.... anything?
Until then, I'll keep watching for flo - holler if she comes out of hiding!
Flo Brown! I caught her performing on the okayplayer tour and she captivated the audience. I've only heard her one time on CD. She had a small part on "Hurricane"; the song that featured Black Thought, Mos Def, Common, Dice Raw, and the Jazzyfatnastees. She's tight!

Nuwb or "blackness" is supreme balance before the chaos was introduced. It was a state of sound, right reasoning. That darkness was triple darkness, which is what you would call the absence of consciousness, or the state of being awoke. In actuality, the dream state is more real and peaceful than the chaos you meet once you are awake. A form of spiritual darkness responsible for the spark that turned on the light that is the life and intellect of all who breathe and think. When the light is turned on again, the chaos begins. The differentiation begins. The separation begins. The rights and the wrongs, the goodness and the badness; the supreme balance is broken and the ego begins to verse the "I."
Flo Brown, of Brick City fame, as far as I know through the okay-office rumour mill, is still writing and performing rhymes and poetry ... just not currently at Black Lily. I've heard something about "record deals" but ... like Im saying .. I don't really know.
I do know that Flo, and Flowetry .... not the same thing. Flowetry is the "neo-soul" duo from England who also has been known to perform at the Lily. Them and Flo, if you don't know already ... are mad dope.
