-thanks to krewcial we have been getting some pretty cool unsigned artist contests going
so we could just hold a contest a month, switch the category every month, producers, MC's, whatever else we could come up with but you could only enter if you already had a website, so that way okayplayer doesnt have to do much work except putting up a generic featured artist page, and then you guys could just post the link to the contest winners site. oh and we okayplayers would vote to see who won each month. i mean it will take okayplayers volunteering their time, but that just means its up to us if its succesful or a flop.
might even be some more good publicity, a constant open mic yadda yadda.

I'm sure we can find someone who would be in charge of selecting the contributions/artists (after consulting the rest of the okaystaff and the boards ?) and making the actual page (hint hint).
i HAVE let the board evolve (devolve?) somewhat into an everything-goes film gossip type board, but i still would like to see reviews of albums there-- and books, and, uhh, kevin smith trailers, and such..
a well-thought-out review is always well-received there, and i would REALLY love to see more album reviews there. (especially hip hop reviews have been lacking there lately)

why dont we make boondocks.net more a part of the family than it already is. like if you set it up like an artist site so when you typed in the url you got the same site but the header bar woudl be there. The site content could stay the same, but boonheads could find discussin boards where they talk about boondocks and get adub news updates.

those posts like destiny's child that go to 100 just cuz 1 person posted a billion times..last a few hours, obviously I am doing things here and there and cant catch everything, but I get annoyed when people are like "Whys this post up whys that post up"....I delete atleast 10-15 posts a day that most yall dont even see..and I archive atleast 5-10 posts a week. The only problem I really see with two moderators is alot of potential confusion, I mean I've been doing this for almost two years I am pretty well acclimated with what I think needs to be removed or archived and if someone else was doing the same thing it would be confusing as hell. I mean noone is gonna die if a destiny's child post is up for a few hours. Now on the general board for example, that moves like lightning, you need tow moderators cuz that board is crazy and it scares me. But personally, I think I am aight. We have staff that have moderating powers also so if sometihng REAL bad comes up (ocassionally happens), they handle that if one of the volunteer moderators isnt around. I'm not trying to act power hungry or anything(LOL), but I think two moderators would be hella confusing on one board.

You know, turn it into something like a e-magazine. There's enough writers and journalists (I mean, REAL, do-it-for-a-living type writers) who could contribute stuff, and do it on a rotating, freelance basis so that you probably wouldn't have to pay anyone for an occassional contribution.
Needs to be something other than just an advertisement for this site, though it would be that too. But something with stand alone possiblities. It would potentially add another piece to the financial model here, add some value.

I'd like to be able to search with more parameters than the ones you currently offer. Alot of times, I don't have time to read every thread, and I just want to see what ? has posted. When I search for him as an author, though, it brings up every thread he's in where _anyone_ has posted in whatever time period I specified. I'd also like to specify for a regular expression, so I can find people who have replied to my posts, without finding ones by Maverick, PrettyRicky, etc.
