I dig the roots.
I did the intelligent way in which they represent their music and the effect that they've had thus far on the hip hop community.

However, I fail to understand how any of you can justify how 'jaguar' has been carrying on as of late.

At one point, I was willing to go and support, based on her connection to the Okplayer fam...but after seeing, with my own eyes, pics of her singing live pregnant w/ asscrack prominently displayed..it just left a bad represenation of her in my eyes.
If that makes me uptight..I'm sorry. I appreciate calss as well as musicality.

I love my black women..the finer the better..but I don't judge singers on that. She does not leave any impression on me whatsoever. She sounded average on the jay-z unplugged special..and those that did buy her project on my campus were disappointed. That saved my 12.99(best-buy). To be honest, the best I've heard WAS on that Coke commercial.

Lastly, the nail in the proverbial coffin was when she was reported to have dissed 'faith' on some radio show.

I don't care what anybody has to say, negatively, about 'faye',
a rule of thumb in this biz, as far as I know, is never diss an established artist..unless your shit is as polished, or better.

Is it really an industry golden rule not to criticise established artists? Hip-Hop owes much of its development to battling between artists - many used this as a forum to raise they game, and sharpen they skills...

Some of the artists that you honour in your signature have not been above criticising other artists (in one case even on a personal, as opposed to artistic, level).

I'msayin'... once an artist is 'established', does that give them the right to criticise others? Your girl Faith and Mary had they own thang goin' on for a hot minute... How do you define 'established'? sales? recognition? There are those here who may claim Jag is more 'established' than Ms Evans... Maybe Jag done put more time in in clubs on the Philly circuit, I'ont know... I'mjustsayin'... it's very difficult to draw the distinction you're tryin'a do.

I got my opinion on Jag's cd, you and others got your's and that's cool, maybe you discuss it - and criticise it - with them.

In at last TWO interviews I read Jag basiaclly said that people liek Fiath Evans adn she named Faith evans in particular as not singing soul music. She said that they are just pop artists, etc. etc.

Now is Faith losing sleep over this as she counts her loot in her big ATL crib probably not. Probably not. We all know how fruitless it is to try and categorize black music these days anyway. Mostly bad music and a little bit of good music is my take on it.

I like Jag's bluntness but in some fashion she needs to check herself cause she only sounds like a hater even though I dont think she meansd that way.
