I first copped NIA bout 2 years ago and thought it was some refreshing shit. I had just moved out to LA and was looking for what else the West Coast had to offer besides the same ol' Gangsta ish (don't get me wrong, i love some of that stuff too). I discovered three groups which have definitely become part of a short list of hip hop acts who really raise the bar and hold it down for the west coast in my book: Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, and BLACKALICIOUS. Then when i caught yall live, the love grew even bigger. Y'all are too hot for TV. Word.

p.s. I hope I can catch y'all with Jurassic in LA (that shouldn't be too hard since y'all are both from So Cal right?)

Just got the album. I think the production on it sounds great so far - a step up from what you guys were doing on Nia. It's cool to have Blackalicious be part of the okayplayer fam, esp. being such a part of the West Coast Underground scene. Hope I get to see another dope live performance soon.
