so i'm talking to my gf about my upcoming trip to mpls to see her. she's telling me that i might want to bring the "member" that i have with me on the east coast because the one i left out there 4 my visits had sorta melted. i'm like MELTED??? how the fock did it MELT? in my head i'm like "what kinda nasty shit did u do with it for it to melt?" but apparently it was adversely affected by the extreme temperatures. she said it's not melted completely but part of it definitely has. i'm blown. i've seen broken strap-ons...hell, my homie's ex-girlfriend found hers and chopped it up into pieces...but i aint neeeeeeeeeva heard of no shit melting before.

what people don't know is that there are TONS of toys manufactured and almost every manufacturer has their own "mystery" material.

Mystery toys are often the cheapest to purchase --so many folks who aren't toy savy gravitate towards them.

Jel-ee, crystal jel-ee, jelly--all of those are polymer blends and usually contain latex. They might be fine toys and will have a long life if properly cared for and stored.I've had several jellee toys with no problems whatsoever.

Then there are the cyber-skin and futurerotic materials. They tend to be latex free and mimic real tissue. Slightly more expensive but quite porous and require METICULOUS care! Personally, I hate them. They look and feel cool--but pick up EVERYTHING--lint, oils off your hands, lubes, body juices etc. They are quite fragile too(tear easily).

Glass, hard plastic and silicone are best. Non-porous, easy to sanitize. Hard plastic toys are the cheapest--but the plastic transfers vibration more intensely so they can be too much for some folks. Glass and silicone are usually the most expensive.
