>>Much of what we call "education" in this society is a >process >>of being made eurocentric >>in our values. > >let go of africa from 400 years ago >that shit aint coming back >have you ever BEEN to Africa? >i always say i've seen more lamborghinis and ferraris >in/around capetown than I've seen anywhere in the world >and i used to live in beverly hills!
I didn't say anything about Afrika from 400 yrs ago. Where did you get this? At any rate, Afrika has been colonialized as well. Hell, Fela Kuti was talking about that back in the 70s, even. White jesus has them questioning their own beauty just like negros over here.
>so what is the non-eurocentric value system and how do ppl get >graded on it?
We can start with how one feels about an afro on a black woman... not just a handful, but all of them. Negropeans think that's weird, but don't think it's weird that the vast majority of Black women alter their hair to hang like the race who educates their children and creates the standards to which we all must rise in order to succeed in this society. We can move on to how one feels about Black group economics. You can go into Chinatown and kick it, but when I talk about Black people having a Blacktown, I'm accused of "hanging on to the Africa of the past" or "longing for the days of old by those with a eurocentric value system. There are many more points to consider, but the last one I'll point out is how one feels about multiculturalism. Anytime Black person hits you with "we should forget about race and just love one another" they are failing the test, because not only is racism STILL prevalent, but it's been prevalent for 500+ goddamn years, and that "we are all one" shit is NOT a new sentiment. Negropeans think it is, because they don't know history. At every turn after the end of slavery, Black folks have been thinking they were on the verge of acceptance while the physical brutality of slavery has simply morphed into other tactics which have oppressed us... not the least of these tactics, is our belief in the system that carries out said oppression. This idea that we should "just forget about race" is a fan-fucking-tastic tool agasint us, because we will never demand respect or realize the need for it with that mentality. I could go on, but you ain't gonna respond with anything worth a damn, so I'll stop here.
>i'm not even gonna address the rest of the shit cause it >sounds like some five percenter or black israelites bullshit >like the nigga on that ghostface album >black jesus >do you know if a man can flip himself inside out he would >die?
Actually, it doesn't... mainly because I'm neither of those... but I answered your questions. Now, let me pose a question to you. Are you even willing to consider that the way you think, see, and value things has been shaped by a system that despises you?
