You got to call a nigga out by name. And if there girl is a public figure like Nicki, that's got to be part of the convo (specially when you knew her before him).

"You getting bodied by a singing nigga" was funny, but a good diss track got to make your soul wince and feel sorry for the target.

Because all the best diss records call out names....There is rarely any ambiguity....I mean this is much better than the first sleepy time joint Drizzy did. I chuckled a few times (the boss bitch line was funny....)...I just want a good ol' fashion diss record....Gimmie "Bridge Is Over," "To The Break Of Dawn," "Shut The Eff Up" "No Vaseline," "Bitch In You," "Take Over," "Ether..."

This is a decent start....Just not overtly impressed....

If you're gonna go in then go in.

Its not like Meek did sneak dissing and then Drake did sneak dissing back. Meek named names. He did it on twitter which is wack as fuck to begin with. He did however say his name, and that demands an all gloves off response.

Guess this is this new era rap dissing. He had some good lines, just needed to go harder IMO.

Meek gotta respond now...Not because Drake killed him (this was decent at best...A few funny lines, but nothing KILLER....)but because of Nicki's involvement....Even if you not naming names, bringing your opposition's woman into it is grounds for snuffing....lol

But I will keep saying it. Meek doesn't seem concerned with beating opposing rappers with bars all that much (Drake is a flat out better emcee anyway). Dude runs with a crew that hit somebody over the head with a gun handle during his video shoot....I'm just saying....

I think Drake believes he's battling Tyga or something....lol

"IKR?"

but then they complain about today's R&B being so explicit and reminisce about the 70s when sexual innuendo was just that implicit innuendo

Nah...nothing to do with age....Hell, people on this very site was going crazy over Kendrick Lamar's "Control" joint....And while that wasn't an official diss track, you get my point....

The issue with Drake is not with the Meek diss track, which again, I think was OKAY...Nothing that blows one away, but it makes its point and has some laugh inducing moments (I think the subliminal Nicki lines are more scathing than anything else)

But really its Drake's very soft/passive aggressive history that taints how some people view him....Unfair or not....

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

Nah....This latest Drake joint is the official fuck-yo-couch joint. NOW this turns into a battle...And while I'm not overtly impressed with it, the song does manage to have some funny moments...

I just don't think Meek is on it like THAT...I think this is more likely to turn GOONISH...This dude knows he will take an L to Drake on the mic....

But in the streets? That's another convo....

There are some folks that find it DOPE....Other folks think it's soft...And then folks like myself think its OK, nothing jaw dropping, but passable with a few funny lines....

Let's not act like everybody in this thread is shitting on this Drake track....It's a mixed bag....

Just don't start bringing up age and niggas being weirdos just because some folks don't think its the second coming of "The Bridge Is Over..."

Do you need me to give u a list of "rap" millionaires who have done dumb shit....?

And again....I'm not talking about Drake....I'm talking about Meek AND SPECIFICALLY HIS CRAZY ASS CREW.....The same crew that knocked someone over the head with gun at the man's own video shoot....

This is not something that I believe will happen 100 percent....But I'm always leery of dudes who lean heavily on their street cred AND who are not the best lyrically getting into rap battles....

That shit is always a recipe for some major fuckery....

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

If you don't like him or his music, they swear you're old or just don't like music.
They can never accept that you just don't like it.

They are reflective of him tho.

He seems so unconcerned with Meek Mill it's funny.

There is literally nothing Meek can say that hasn't been said about Drake or is already a meme about dude.

And on top of that he can rap well enough that he's not gonna get sonned on the mic.

He makes a song. Uploads it. Then goes back to whatever he was doing before he thinks of another song.

>He seems so unconcerned with Meek Mill it's funny.

True...he wouldn't dare do this with Kendrick head to head aka, knows how to pick his battles lol

>There is literally nothing Meek can say that hasn't been said
>about Drake or is already a meme about dude.

if it's a battle on wax...there's a few angles he can use:

-First response was uninspired so he could call it wack and say Drake really wrote it, then say the 2nd one was better, prolly something QM quoted (wrote it)
-Took 4 days to respond, could play up him flying out his ghost writers to get it poppin'
-Could touch on Diddy punching him (take that) and him running to J. Prince for help (not what a boss does)
-Could say, Drake tried to get at Nicki in the past but she passed cuz she was dealing with a real n*gga.
-Could say Drake is only 'black' when it's convenient (aka, profit opportunity) and could racial slur it in connection with him being jewish
-Drake is always talking about how real he is but Meek could tie him to being a fraud (given the ghost writing thing...which Drake kinda low key copped to on charged up)
-Could call Drake sleepy time rhyme (even his 'charged up' record was boring energy wise)
-Could do a skit mocking Drakes rhyme style, energy and mediocre voice (done well this could work)
-Could talk about how Drake cried over the same girl on wax for 5 straight projects
-Could go in on his goofy ass grin

This isn't really about album sales/$ at this point. All cards are in play and Meek gonna lose the 'power/success' angle anyway. So he may as well go into full clownin' mode, but from a different angle than twitterverse/Instaworld has done on Drake. Meek is already at a disadvantage given this started over him crying about Drake not tweeting his album, Meek is one dimensional as a rapper, YELLS ALL HIS DAMN RHYMES, and just generally isn't very creative as an artist.

He's guns-bussin-street-rap-loudly-at-70-miles-an-hour.

Making a change up (clowning with a mix of street rap) would have a bigger impact.

But Meek prolly gonna get emotional and make a track about sending people to get Drake and how he can never visit Philly again cuz there's money on his head...etc, etc, etc.

1.) He has to convince people Drake don't write his own rhymes and not sound like a mad dude while doing it.

2.) A lot of this new generation apparently doesn't care now if you write your rhymes.

3.)Drake is one of the most vulnerable rappers ever. Everybody knows all that stuff about dude.

4.)I think the same would work if he battled Kendrick. At most it'd be a stalemate.

I agree with Beef in 2015. This is probably how it's gonna be going forward too. Smh.

Yeah I know Mc's back in the day use to call ninjas out by name and go in extremely personal and talk about f-cking they bitch but that was a long time ago and now we are more civilized and progressive to know that that's just being too mean and disrespectful (and not to mention patriarchal and slut shaming).

Now days you can throw shade, with a witty meme and get the point across without being too hurtful. Got to go, off to spin class!!!

and there is the added element of meek taking shots at drake from a lower-tier. you kinda wanna root for aubrey in all of this.

i doubt drake has an "ether" in him bc that requires requires some gutter, gangster s##t.

but it sounds like he might be sitting on some kind of nuke (ala faith evans) that might make up for what he lacks in that area.

In response to Reply # 92

Every time Drake is in the spotlight for something negative Charlemagne clowns him for making soft music. Drake stood next to Charlemagne at an event and Charlemagne didn't know it. Their relationship is (was?) like oil and water.

This is an attempt to build a bridge to come on the show.

than this drake/meek crybaby shit

grown ass men sending bottles of Dom P to each other, on some "you a bitch, here's a drink on me" is a recipe for disaster, if it wasn't all for entertainment and ratings.

The best part is Char being in his mid-30's clowning Flex for being old (ok he's damm near 50 and still acting like he's 18, never mind, Char has a point lol)

where the consensus was that Drake buried Meek.

Have we heard better battle raps in our long lives? Yes
Is Meek worthy of an ether-level diss track? Hell no.

Drake made a track that would appeal to his generation and his fans.
Call it whatever. I call it effective.

Meek on the other hand is losing stature by not responding.

Also some rappers refuse to mention the target of their raps by name.
That is a tradition as old as hip-hop itself.

Kids who are 16-25 literally weren't old enough to hear it, and basically anyone under 35 wasn't really there to truly understand the impact of it when it did drop. I didn't even hear it on my own until 96, after "Hit em up" dropped...it was no YouTube or even Napster to find songs like that.

This shit is just all right, honestly the Joe Carter pic was the most "etherous" shit about it. LOL @ Meek not being "worthy" of an epic diss track, as if Drake could author one. He ain't built that way.

Shit is OK though, I don't get "OH! BLEH! TRASH!" reactions and usually I am full of those myself.

We looking real washed right now. I'm confused by folk clamoring for street/tough talk and harder beats from Drake tho. Like dude is CLOWNING. Like he must really got a joker card ready to play it if needed and Meek must know it. I just can't figure out why he hasn't responded yet. This is the opposite of what I would be thinking would be occurring at this point.

couple very nice punches, but overall lazy/soft feel for a diss track. I think he has his "Ether" already ready to drop (be it written by him or someone else) but he is holding it for after Meek replies. Right now he's just poking the bear to get a responce.

not only do he gotta compete against bars
but also the retweets, memes, celebrity mentions, etc.

even if meek dropped an "ether"
drake has such a hold over social media
and influential blogs like complex, thefader, etc.
that their response to the meek record would be so muted
compared to the frenzy they work themselves into when drake drop shit.

meek only hope is to expose drake for fucking a transgender ig model
or just shooting him lol.

Drake gives him free promotion anyway so why isn't he taking it? He started this to gain album sales anyway. This is Drake's attempt to give charity to the needy.

This song is a solid five out of ten in the context of historicial diss tracks. I can't believe Drake is 2-0 against a so-called street rapper known for battling.

I can't imagine what kinda dude would identify with this dude.

I'm definitely not team Meek, but how is this going in? Best outcome is some real spitters get involved.

The thing about every Drake "diss" he's done...

possibly the shit that gets right under the skin all the time..

is they will all get played in the club...

SURE u might diss

But when you are getting your table and the waitress brings u bottles and you smiling with your homies THEN they drop this in the club and everyone is spitting the lyrics...

AND YOU KNOW THAT SHIT ABOUT YOU...

gotta ruin peoples day..

I think that Drake did his job.

Did he have to respond...no.

Did he respond...yes.

Was the beat lazy...yes.

Did you listen to the lyrics and hear the bitchslaps...yes.

Nothing else to be said. Why go hard at someone who isnt even on your level? I think Drake got the job done. Now if he comes back with some ill sh*t, then Drake will really have to go at him. But, I don't see that happening.

Drake Donates Recording Studio To Philadelphia High School: 'I Want To See You Succeed'

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A troubled city high school has finally heard the sound of music coming from a recording studio donated by Drake after a monthslong search for a teacher to run it.

The Grammy-winning rapper gave $75,000 to help create the space at Strawberry Mansion High School, district officials said. Drake, a 28-year-old Toronto native, has said he was deeply affected by a news report on the challenges faced by the Philadelphia students.

Although the studio was finished last summer, Principal Linda Cliatt-Wayman said budget problems and the school's reputation for violence made it hard to find an instructor. At long last, part-time music teacher Ben Diamond arrived in early February.

"We thought we were going to be ready to go in September. They've been dying to get in" to the studio, Wayman said of the students.

Drake became involved after ABC News aired a program focusing on Wayman's tough-love efforts to improve the school, which serves one of the city's poorest and most dangerous neighborhoods. Campus assaults have dropped dramatically since Wayman arrived two years ago, but academics and resources remain a struggle. Less than a quarter of Strawberry Mansion students perform at grade level in math and reading.

When Drake came to Philadelphia during a concert tour in October 2013, he invited members of the school community to a private gathering before the show. There, he surprised them by announcing the gift.

"This is about you. This is about your principal. This is about your future," Drake said as his guests screamed with joy. "I love you. I care about you. I want to see you succeed."

Building the studio meant purchasing new keyboards, acoustical accessories and other equipment, plus cleaning and painting long-disused sound booths at Strawberry Mansion. Members of Drake's crew completed the work over the summer, according to Wayman.

Yet the gear sat untouched throughout the fall, she said. And when Diamond finally began teaching studio production last month, interest was lukewarm - until Wayman used the school's public address system to broadcast the debut song recorded in the facility.

That made students realize the long-rumored equipment actually existed, she said. About 50 teens signed up.

"You have to prove everything to them," said Wayman. "So many people disappoint them."

Josiah Showell, a junior who specializes in beats, teamed up with freshman Zalmir Deputy on keyboards and senior rapper Jerrick Fripps to record a tune within days of first entering the studio.

Previously, Showell had only composed music on his phone - and he never shared the tracks with anyone. But, he said, "the studio inspired me to bring out the love of music that I have inside me."

"Without the studio, no one would still know I do music," said Showell, 17.

The equipment isn't fancy or expensive, nor was it intended to be, according to Wayman. It offers basic music technology and guidance to a population that might not otherwise have access to it.

"Many of them don't have very many other reasons to be excited about coming to school," Diamond said. "To be able to give them an outlet for things they want to express is very special."

Deputy, 15, thanked Drake for his generosity and hopes the performer might visit one day.

"I really appreciate it ... because this is what we needed," Deputy said.

Representatives for Drake, whose new album "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" came out Feb. 13, did not return requests for comment. The rapper is also featured on the song "Amen" by Strawberry Mansion alum Meek Mill.

First, niggas were mad because the first record wasn't aggro enough.

This ain't 1996, Tupac ain't growling through that goddamn door.

'91 Ice Cube either.

Then this nigga releases a second record, chock full of choice shots, and niggas are still "eh, it's not Ether. It's not Takeover."

Niggas going out of their way to not give Drake credit. Not surprising at all.

Some people go out of their way in attempts to distance themselves from today's youth. At some point, you have to get over yourself and realize the world will keep spinning regardless of whether you want it to standstill or not. It's like do they have kids? Nieces? Nephews? How do you interact with them?

Anyway, I'm not going to bumping this diss, but I think it's effective.

in relation to this track. she's a Drake groupie and is all geeked up about both of his 'diss tracks'. i told her i think both are weak but that's probably b/c i'm used to diss tracks like 'No Vaseline'. she hadn't heard it. i encouraged her to find it. then we agreed that the Internet memes related to the beef are better than either of Drake's tracks.

they don't at least have a Tascam Port-A-Studio on the tour bus that he can lay something down on?

No one in the entourage has a pirated copy of Fruity Loops or Garageband with a M-Box that's syncd up to ProTools he can lay a quick 16 to?

I'm sure there are studios in TDot or M-Nasty that he can hop into the booth for a couple hours before the day's soundcheck

this does not bode well

but Cenario's point is well-taken - rappers have backtracked from diss records where they didn't name names. Drake left room to do that w/this one.

diss records where there's no doubt who's being dissed and for what don't leave the artist room to backtrack.

also maybe meek is letting his girl put the muzzle on him, which is arguably worse

and social media and horny black twitter girls had they winner picked b4 one verse came out

Yall looking down on those who dislike this track. Was this track actually impressive or something?

As if Drake blew the doors off the hinges. He spat a couple of slick lines like he's been doing since day 1. Nothing more, nothing less.

That's why you diss a person, to make them feel small. Drake accomplished that. Yeah this doesn't sound like the disses I grew up on, but so what? Forget about my sonic expectations, rap music isn't supposed to sound like it did 20 years ago.

What can Meek say to make Drake feel small? He already put the ghostwriting accusations out there, now he just has to rap a lotta bars and hope that people like it. Unfortunately he's not a better rapper then Drake, so he's really under pressure.

Pipe down bro. Drake is obviously competitive. Kendrick challenged him and Drake did nothing about it. But Meek says Drake got ghost writers and this dude drop 2 diss tracks in a week time span. Front runner only picking battles he can win.

As far as lyricist go, I feel like Drake is better than Meek.

However, Kendrick kinda got the hood behind him, and he's better. We've seen how creative Kendrick can be with his rhymes. Besides, really not much Drake could say about him.

Drake has done enough lame shit for Kenny to go in.

Bank account statements just look like
I'm ready for early retirement
Fuck any nigga
That's talking that shit just to get a reaction
Fuck going platinum
I looked at my wrist and it's already platinum
I am the kid with the motor mouth
I am the one you should worry 'bout
I don't know who you're referring to
Who is this nigga you heard about?
Someone just talking that bullshit
Man, someone just gave you the run-around
Niggas downplayin' the money
But that's what you do when the money down
I don't waste time puttin' money down
I just go straight to who got it and buy it in cash
Pussy so good that you gotta come see me on tour
And you gotta fly in first class
This has been years in the makin'
It's all for the city, they know I come right every summer
Cash Money Records forever, I'm always big timin'
Bitch, I came up right under Stunna, you know it

Jealousy in the air tonight, I could tell
I will never understand that but oh, well
Been ready it's real, I don't know 'bout you....

"Shit (Remix)"

Took niggas out the hood like I'm from there
So you know it's all good when I come there
I hear you talk about your city like you run that
And I brought my tour to your city, you my son there nigga
But I had to come through for the remix
On my haven’t done a verse in 8 weeks shit
And if a nigga say my name, he the hot shit
But if I say the nigga name, he still the hot shit
Fucked up, lucky I don't feed into the gossip
Niggas act like they don't know, but they should know
Yeah, I just think it's funny how they dangling the bait
But I'm the one that's killing niggas on the hooks though
And niggas ain't got a grill, still ice grill hating
I know y'all already know Mike Will Made It
Just looking at the numbers, nigga, I feel amazing
I call Michael Jordan up and Mike will make it
I'm the young rap nigga with the 'Melo deal
You need to come to OVO for a better deal
Just know a million ain't shit once you get a mill
And niggas say it’s all good, that’s how you better feel
Nigga nah, fuck that, this year I'm talking big stuff
Rolling through the city like a young nigga bricked up
Fuck niggas gon' be fuck niggas
That's why we never give a fuck when a fuck nigga switched up

Especially with the OVO fest antics.

If by better you mean put more people on then yes. If by better you mean had a stronger run I'm not sure about that. Matter of fact... NO, simply off the strength of their first albums.

Pre 2014 you had a somewhat strong case overall but not today. Someone needs to make a Rick Ross appreciation post.

Wayne don't count because Drake was his ghostwriter....

He clearly beats Meek... Before the diss songs even come out, Drake won... Twitter decided that... But also, due to Drake's popularity and ability to make good songs (whether he writes the lyrics or not), Meek isn't on his level... So why go so over the top on a dude who isn't on your level??

He didn't even go at Chris Brown like this... CB is at least close to him in star power... And it has to make you wonder, if dude was so hurt over that "Control" verse, why didn't he ever really go at Kendrick?

EDIT: Maybe saying Drake is taking an L is bit too much... But it's odd, to me at least, to go so hard on Meek, but not go after those who people look at as his equal...

it's working too, from what i can tell.

the first couple weeks DWMTM dropped? it was the talk of hip hop and i heard a lot of praise for the album.

since this beef started? i haven't heard ONE word about Meek's album unless it was in relation to the whole RICO/Drake/QM thing.

hard to tell because sales on an album like that are really gonna start to wane after the first 2 or 3 weeks anyway, but i'm willing to bet the drop-off has been a little more drastic.

Meek so dumb though. he stalled his own shit by calling out Drake for the RICO shit when it's the ONE song on his album that has "hit" potential (Drake feature, nice beat). Now, people are gonna think the song is dumb because 1) Drake didn't really write it or 2)Meek and Drake don't even like each other.

Kendrick issued a competitive challenge to his contemporaries. Weigh the two responses and ask yourself this question:

If someone tried to end your career in whatever profession you work, how far would you go to dead that person's career and make an example out of them to everyone that followed the situation.

Bottom line is Drake sent sublims so he did something and in all honesty Kendrick isn't nearly as disrespectful as Meek. Kendrick on some competition shit while Meek tried to end Drake's career. Flame this dude forever and cement the L in the hip-hop history books.

Charged Up is akin to the subs Drake sent at Kendrick and others. I think he put that out and saw the reaction and the jokes on Twitter and simply rode the wave. Once the whole Flex/Meek nonsense happened he was able to capitalize and drop Back to Back. It worked out perfect for him timing wise too...with the festival coming up. Everybody on social media did the work for him, he was just smart enough to capitalize on it.

I don't think Drake had some master plan but he was smart, paid attention and took advantage of the opportunities to opened up over the course of the week.

No one is feeling bad for Meek... Like I said, Meek lost before Drake dropped a verse... Meek never had a chance... I'm questioning Drake on going so over the top on a dude who ain't on his level...

Chris Brown raps... Kendrick obviously raps... Go at a dude who people want to see you go against... He admitted to being hurt by Kendrick's "Control" verse... Let's hear some bars... He was upset that Kendrick said he wants to take his fans... Let's hear some bars...

I'm not even wasting time arguing that chris brown shit. And from what I heard Drake did spit some bars at Kendrick on NWTS. I don't know the specific song. But I'm sure you can Google. But I don't care if Drake going hard right now. Meek would be doing the same thing if he could. He can easily get back in the game with a fire ass song. Rap fans are fickle. He just gotta do it. He got Ross and Wale on his team. They should be able to come up with something out of the vault.

297. "meek, flex, drake, dj drama- behind the music"
In response to Reply # 0

from the boxden/lsa thread
is all of this legit?
cld someone outside the camp know all of these details?
wld someone inside the camp tell all the info and post it online?

"prolly not" to all 3, but it does make certain things make sense how they played out

*cue game of thrones music*

This is the real tea that i found out from someone close to dj dramas girl. Meek found out from dj drama that drake had used a reference track from quinton for RICO. Meek confronted drake about it and they had a lil argument and drake felt like he was disrespected for the way meek came at him since he was doing a favor for meek. This happened the same week of meeks homecoming concert. Drake didnt show up because he was pissed at the way meek came at him. Meek was upset because drake was supposed to be the big celeb for his event. The track was already recorded and done when meek found out. Meek decided to still put the track on his cd. Months later meeks album comes out and drake doesnt tweet about it. Meek was upset because he felt like despite them having anargument, drake would still support since hes on the album. Meek started feeling himself when he saw how taylor went at nicki and how much love nicki was getting even though taylor is the bigger star. Meek felt like ill just expose drake and the public will side with me because they will see that drake is a fraud just like they sided with nicki over taylor. Word gets around to all the djs like charlemagne and flex that drama has a ref track and more ref tracks. Flex begs drama for the 10 bands track and drops it. By jow most djs already know that there are more ref tracks that drama has. None of them care because they dont want to ruin their relationship that drake has with their station. Flex decides to put it out there when he found out about the other ref tracks acting like he had it but drama wouldnt give it up. Meek didnt think drake would respond to him and was shocked when charged up came out. Meek did his diss record and told flex he would give it to him but was still trying to get the other ref tracks from drama to give to flex but drama wouldnt give it so flex and meek last minute decided not to premiere the diss track because they wanted to drop everything at the same time and ether drake. The next day drake releases his second track and shocks flex and meek because they werent expecting it. Meek already hAs his diss wanna know recorded but pretends like he still has to record it because he wAs still trying to get the ref tracks. Dj drama gives the track to meek who then tells flex that they are ready. Dj drama did not get paid for it. He wAs upset like op stated because he gave meek the ref tracks as a favor and meek went and called TI name in his track about the pee accident. TI got upset at drama and drama is pissed like op stated because he involved TI. Everything has backfired on all of them. Meek already knew about the p!ss incident but drama didnt think he would say it in his song and put TI name.
Another tea. The beggining of wanna know when meek talks about a !!!!! who went to jail for not snitching but later snitches. He was talking about AR-AB. When drake ref his name in back to back. Meek found out that AR-AB will be signing to ovo and has told his secrets to drake....meek is scared because drake has alot of info about him. This is the reason y drama gave the ref tracks to meek. They knew drake has ammo on meek and could air it out so as a friend drama gave the tracks thinking it would stop drake and it all backfired.

Watch Drake, Kanye West and Will Smith laugh at Meek Mill memes

This story keeps getting better.

Drake performed at the OVO Fest this week and, while performing, had a screen behind him showing all the memes that sprung up after his diss tracks on Meek Mill dropped. They were not kind.

After the performance, someone captured this video of Drake, Kanye West and Will Smith (!!!) looking at some of the memes on a cell phone and laughing hysterically.

Is Meek Mill Vs. Drake Beef Over? Rapper Removes 'Wanna Know' Diss From Soundcloud

Nicholas Mojica , Design & Trend
Aug, 12, 2015, 12:25 PM

While fans still wait for Drake's supposed "3 Peat" diss, and other fans wait for a second Meek Mill diss, it appears the beef between the two rappers may have come to an end.

It has been days since Drake dissed Meek Mill at OVO Fest and it has also been a few days since Meek dissed Drake during his performances. Meek Mill hasn't tweeted since Drake's "twitter fingers" line, and Drake has yet to respond to the ghostwriting claims. Overall, the beef has become stagnant.

Now, it appears that Meek Mill removed his sole Drake diss, "Wanna Know," from his Soundcloud page. It's uncertain why Meek deleted the track but according to a screenshot of an alleged Meek Mill Instagram comment, the rapper is through with the beef.

"We really only focusing on making it out that's the only war we fighting ... I'm not entertaining no rap/real beef over Drake s/o a rapper! I can't for fall for the oldest trick in the book and I never should entertained bcuz it won't bring me no money or success," read the alleged comment.

Meek Mill comes to his senses.. Posted and deleted this comment. Says he doesn't have to prove himself. Good read. pic.twitter.com/8cEIb2DKxV

— DJ Akademiks (@IamAkademiks) August 12, 2015

"Ima take blame for it even tho I can't stand anything I do or say and n**gaz know ... Everybody know everybody watching and anything beyond what's going on is stupid to b reacting on about a bunch of n**gas just tryna get on and in the game," it continued.

Meek may have also removed his song because it used a copyrighted sample of the WWE's Undertaker theme song.

"WWE takes its intellectual property rights very seriously," a WWE statement said, "and we are looking into the matter."

The rapper's "Wanna Know" was not for sale, so he wasn't profiting from it but if he did decide to sell the song, he would have to clear the sample.

Unless you truly destroy someone ("No Vasaline") the dude with the most twitter followers just has his team swarm and declare victory no matter the quality of the track.

Like you can't beat Beyonce in an online beef because of the Bee Hive.

Can't beat Taylor Swift. Etc.

If he places 3 peat on Views from the 6 then that is necessary overkill. Drake played this perfectly and made an example out of Meek.

Meek was not prepared for this battle AT ALL. LOL at the Drake disses compared to his responses to AR-AB and the rest of OBH. Meek's responses to OBH consist of "I have more money than you and y'all broke haters".

I like Meek but FOH with this bullshit. He thought taking the real route would work in an era where Kendrick receives an assist from five or more people on every track on TPAB. Plus, Meek allegedly has ghostwriters as well.

As a longtime J. Cole fan I wouldn't be mad if J. Cole vaulted to the top of the young artist rankings ahead of Kendrick and Drake. J. Cole's struggle bars are too intricate to be ghostwritten but that's for another post.

I used the word "assist".

Drake did what everyone in the history of music does but gave his friend credit. Like I said, Drake is a charitable guy. None of this invalidates his career so everything is fine. He's still the best in game as far as the people in his age bracket.

Kendrick received assists on TPAB AND GKMC. Y'all not about to sit here and tell me he wrote all those albums by himself. Nah, HE HAD HELP. Once again, if y'all, agenda driven haters, are going to try to invalidate Drake's career over a charitable donation then I'm doing the same for Kendrick.

I'm CubanBing all that shit y'all typed because it's four or more credited people on every song on TPAB. Kendrick didn't write 100% of his own compositions. We don't know who else Kendrick received an assist from because they're not credited....

... For purposes of this PARTICULAR DISCUSSION, Yes, the homies assisting an artist is the equivalent of what you wrote. Hit-Boy is an artist.. Just Blaze is an artist... Kendrick doesn't write 100 percent of his bars and y'all fans condone it. Stop condoning fuckery.

but if you've heard To Pimp A Butterfly (I hope you did more than just pull up a Wikipedia page and say "LOOK"), a lot of live instruments went into that album

a song composer and a lyricist are two different people getting credit for two different things on the same song

you're really reaching accusing him of not writing his raps though, he takes the utmost pride in his talent

But, people are invalidating an entire artist's discography over four credited songs off a throwaway mixtape. You don't know which one of Kendrick's friends gave him an assist in the studio. IF we're doing it for Drake then it applies to Kendrick.

My hypothesis has plenty of ground to stand on as once again, there are four more credited writers on TPAB. Your boy had help so get over it. Unlike Drake, we don't know who Kendrick refused to give credit to for helping him with a bar here or there.

You really didn't read the rest of the wiki article you linked, did you? All those "writers" are listed under musician, or sample clearances, or extra vocals on the track... So either, you can't fathom that these dudes just got paid for playing instruments or singing, or you are just trolling the hell out of this post for the fuck of it...

No more standards to the culture? Writing your own raps doesnt matter anymore? "Making fun" of the dude banging the chick you have been unsuccessfully sniffing around for 5 years is a W?

Why the fuck would anyone care about the opinions of people who dont mind a rapper spitting other peoples' compositions?
