There used to be some identity issues back when he first started and he said some things that he probably shouldn't have but I feel like he's owned up to that and these days he's much more straight forward about who he is and what he represents.

I actually just saw him last night and he was speaking a lot about how hip-hop is a celebration of the genius of black and brown men and how if you don't love the people who created the culture, you can't claim to love hip-hop.

I think it's reasonable to have an issue with one thing that he did but the man has really become an incredible leader not just in hip-hop but in the community as well and really seems like a stand up guy.
