i have 2 good friends who are bisexual. they don't consider themselves gay or str8 - they're bi.

from what i've observed most bisexual ppl are that way - they consider themselves bi and not gay or str8.

but ppl looking in tend to think of bisexual ppl as gay b/c most of us can only deal w/binaries on this issue. it's gotta be STRAIGHT or GAY and that's it. some can accept varying degrees of straight and gay but that's about it. those ppl will probably place bisexuals somewhere on that continuum and probably closer to str8 or gay depending on the person's own bias. so like if we're talking about a woman who considers herself bi, a str8 guy who thinks the woman is attractive is likely to place her closer to str8 on the continuum. but if he's not attracted to her she's more gay. a gay woman who finds that woman attractive and rejects the idea of bisexuality - if the gay woman thinks the bi woman is hot she's likely to place the bi woman closer to gay on the continuum.
