Noticed that some of you are spending $200 and up on jeans, and I wouldnt trust something that expensive to any of my local dry cleaners.

Most of the stuff that i take the cleaners ends up being clothes I only wear around my block.

Sometimes it's more often and sometimes less often. It kind of depends. Sometimes I'm unfortunate and spill something over my jeans and have no choice.

I wash my husbands jeans like once every 2 months cause he is really hard on jeans.
I only own a few pair and I haven't seen them since it got hot. I was my one pair of jean shorts every week though.

the only time I will put my "nasty" meter in check is when I
purchase new jeans.... I have to at least wear them 5 times without washing them..... after that when I take them off they go in the hamper to be washed at the end of the week

salt tho did work for me. did it on the first wash soaked them (inside out) in salt water. then washed in cold water after the 2 months period.

kept the dark colour.

it's to foster interesting fades. Raw denim heads are obsessed with the aging process, and regular washing causes denim to fade evenly.

if yout got a pair of raw denim jeans that u wear for more dressier occasions you dont want too much of a fade and wear&tear look. so soaking it inside out in salt water is best.

if they are raw denim jeans for more everyday/casual wear then hell yeah u def want that look.

i was washing them after every wear, tried to the dry clean route and that wasnt hitting on much either

i learned it myself and the hard way, and 90% of the time after wear my jeans dont need to be washed, they dont smell and arent dirty

but going 3, 6 or 12 months without washing is excessive. It's perfectly fine to wash jeans every one or two months. As a matter of fact, going prolonged periods without washing hastens crotch blow-out. Dirty fibers are less pliabe and more prone to tears.

I wash them after 2 or 3 wears unless I sweat them up or spill something on them.
