Why is he supposed to cherish something that came to him without a name on it? At least he can share it with someone he likes.
That's like finding $20 on the ground. You look to check if it belongs to someone. If nobody comes forth to claim it, you spend it somewhere else, you don't sit down where you found it and wait indefinitely for them to return.

day to my house when I was in high school
I was so creeped out, because this person knew my address and I knew it wasn't any of the dudes I went to school with. I knew this college dude who was a light weight stalker, and I thought it was him.
but after the 3rd day I ended up finding out it was my 30something year old boss...I was 17 at the time! soooo weird and creepy. why would he think my parents would be okay with that?

it came w/o a note attached, so we had no idea who sent them. b/c of the work we do at the firm and some work my boss has done in the past that's resulted in him having actual enemies in high places, we didn't eat any of the fruit. we threw the entire arrangement in the trash rather than risk being poisoned.
then we found out it was sent by 1 of the court reporters we use. we thanked her after we found out. LOL

i got a giant bouquet of balloons on my birthday. signed "an admirer" All i knew was that it couldn't have been from a man i suspected it came from the black/french canadian butch chick w/ the heavy accent, but i never found out for sure.
