Not necessarily in chronological order:
1. Phonte v. Quez
The Beef: In a post about a LB show, me and Quez got into it over some words that got taken out of context and quickly escalated into niggerdom.
Shots Fired: Him telling me 'don't get hemmed up,'and me inviting him to get 'knocked the fuck out,' or something like that...
End Result: After a show at V-Tech, me and that nigga ended up goin to the club and fuckin with some broads. Still cool to this day...
2. Phonte v. Atruhead/Young H
The Beef: Atruhead made a post (which is now archived) called "Rappers Need To Pick A Side and Stay On It," in which he basically flogged me for dancing to "Laffy Taffy."
Shots Fired: Me calling him Sergeant Waters, and haji raji comin in on some sideways shit talking about how I 'befuddle' him.
End Result: "Separate But Equal" dropped and all was forgiven. Plus, we hit each other on the inbox from time to time, as our views on hip-hop are very similar and we both have a big respect for each other's craft.
3. Phonte v. southphillyman/Galatasaray
The Beef: Stemmed from an incident in which I (allegedly) Fambodied the fishbox of one of his exes.
Shots Fired: Too many to name. Most notably, him constantly referring to MS as a flop, and me making some sort of reference to his boovay.
End Result: I'm almost certain that our stance on each other is on some 'you only get half a bar' shit. Probably the most ironic thing about this situation though, is that I actually think the nigga is hilarious and his views on alot of subjects mirror mine. But some niggas cant let it go, I suppose.
4. Phonte v. Buildingblock/Baron Davis
The Beef: Block came at me sideways in a (now archived)post I made called "The Girl Song Ain't Always Necessary."
Shots Fired: "Don't listen to him, he's an underground rapper" (c) Block, and "Come holla at me when I'm ready to buy an iPod, nigga" (c) Tay
End Result: I think we both kinda laughed about the whole shit and kept it movin. Block eventually logged off and left the site tho...(or did he?)
As artists, we've all had our little shit here and there, but for the most part I'm cool with all the cats I got into it with in the past (honorable mentions go to fire, Mash_Comp, and the always entertaining jambone).
I've been a member of this site way before I was a recording artist, so over the years this shit has become a dysfunctional family of sorts......I mean, seriously....where else on the net can you get free music and first-hand industry insider info in one forum, and get free porn and the harrowing details of a young woman's bout with ovarian cancer in another?
