Incesticide wasn't a real Nirvana album per say. It was made up of a b-sides, unreleased stuff, and a few cover songs they had in the vault. Thats why it doesn't flow as well as the other l.p.'s, but its still a great album.

he had an earlier, rougher version of it he tried to get massive to do with him, but they didn't go for it.. so he released the old version on his own in 1991, and i think the album version came later in 1993.
i think this was kind of more a landmark for him. i haven't actually heard the early version, but the album version is definitely one of the standout tracks on maxinquaye in my opinion. in a way, it's kind of the center of it.. he named the album after his mother and he believes that aftermath is written by her through him. but as far as what the first song the public got a taste of is.. i don't know, so maybe you're right about that.
