It is important for a CD to have a to have a natural flow to it, and the sequencing of an album can sometimes make or break an album. Many praised ?uest's job of arranging tracks on Com's LWFC and we've heard him comment on his opinion on the mistakes made on Com's previous effort, "One Day...". So I was wondering which CD's sequence made you appreciate the method behind the exec producer's arrangement. Which "classic" or "near-classic" albums were not sequenced to your liking?
I'd have to say De La's "Buhloone Mind State" is sequenced well in my opinion. The theme is stated in the opening minutes and held throughout, the lead single in the middle ("Ego Trippin'", I hate when the singles are the first three songs), and the resurrection of an almost forgotten art (thanks to Rahzel and others) on the finale.
So what does everybody think? Share your opinions.

Ten banging cuts (nine if you don't include the Genesis intro) that flow seamlessly from beginning till end. And no bad skits or filler tracks-a truly great achievement for a nineties hip-hop record.
from the cafeteria beginning to the bringing back the cafeteria rhyme at the end, throw in the "I have no idea what it takes to be a good mc skits" with him showing you in each song. Totally well thought out n put together.
Things Fall Apart also sounds like a straight story being told all the way through how each song kinda starts where the last one left off.

Prince - Sign O' The Times Stevie - Innervisions Sly - There's A Riot Goin On The Beatles - Abbey Road...I came across a cassette version that has "Come Together" and "Here Comes the Sun" switch places. Personally, I like having the album start off with "Here Comes the Sun" - it's a nice and pleasant way to kick things off. Plus, "Come Together" packs quite a punch coming at the end of "I Want You (She's So Heavy)".
"You a grow tired fe see me face/ Can't get me out of the race" -Bob Marley, "Bad Card" (1980)
"My only weapon is my pen/ And the frame of mind I'm in/ I'm a songwriter, a poet" -Sly and the Family Stone "Poet" (1971)
Prince Among Thieves has to be added...but what about Handsome Boy Modeling School? Pretty dope that all the different styles of music are able to flow into each other.

"book of human language" read or "listened" like a sequenced novel. chapters, prologue, epilogue, etc.
but the best is:
"what's going on" marvin gaye -- the first side was like one big, non-stop song. if y'all get the chance, read how it was done. this was before digital editors, so the tape had to be cut perfectly and blended. i love that cymbal right before "flying high..."
