Yeah Quik's my favorite, but it is a completely diff comparison. Quik had just as many SINGLES and even hits in the 90's and early 00's like "Addictive" and he gets WAAAAAAAAAAAY MORE RESPECT in the industry than Toomp...East Coast rappers, Southern ones, new and old, all respect Quik's genius. Dre in particular has been in the top percent of killer producers since the 80's! So what, he did 'five' groups, look @ what they did and what the albums were! Quality over quantity most definitely in that aspect. If you were talking Primo or even Quik vs Dre in the quanitity argument, then you'd have a better debate cause Primo & Quik have vast amounts of genre & era-defining moments throughout the past 2 decades.
Toomp, as OG and dope as he can be, just really got his feet wet in the past decade. And to keep it all the way 100, when if comes down to it, Dre's vault of classics outweigh all that other bullshit he's talking (Rodney Jerkins vs Dre? GTFOH).

I know the South almost as well as I know the West, and for this past decade, he is probably Top 3 or 5 in importance, but overall, nah...ONLY for that Trapped out sound. Mannie Fresh, Lil Jon, Jazze, Collipark, and several others had more hits than Toomp did, even if you argue that he's "better" or made better songs.
just doesn't get always talked about but loose lips done came out in other styles of music over the years. lack of respect and insecurity covers all fields.
