"Remember console games were priced randomly?"

I know a lot of people were bitching about having to spend $59.99 on next gen games. The thing is I remember dropping $57 on Mortal Kombat 2 for the SNES the day it came out, and that shit was on sale. I remember Super Street Fighter 2 being $74.99 at Best Buy, and let's not get started on 8-Bit games. There were no platinum hits back in the day, anybody else remember paying random and expensive prices for games.

and the only game i got was sf2 turbo, which was going for $80. i got no problem paying $40 for new games.

but question: is it cheaper to manufacture game discs as opposed to cartridges?

YES. And you're able to store way more data on disc especially DVD discs and now Blu Ray and HD-DVD discs.

That's probably more expensive than these $60 games after inflation and shit.

because thinking of it, The Doc has copped much better versions of Street Fighter on newer systems than he has the SNES, for FAR less cash.

Some of those $70 SNES titles were just bullshit. (UMK3? That game was GAR-BIDGE on SNES.)
