"Intel Core Duo w/ Centrino vs. AMD 64"


  

          

which of the two would you recommend for multimedia purposes and 3-d rendering? i was in the market for a laptop and wanted to get something that will handle the "next generation" of programs but not sacrifice on performance (hence the consideration of AMD64 processor)

I ride for AMD just like everyone else. But I think Intel is on top of the laptop game right now. Much better power management.

So take this with a grain of salt. The Sony models probably have a better rep then the others. I'm definitely not reading all 15 descriptions though.
