To get Yahoo Mail Beta, just switch your content preference to Germany, France or UK. Then you will be asked if you want to join the beta when you log into your Yahoo Mail. Say yes, and join the beta. Then from the options menu, change your content preference what it was before. Then go to Yahoo Mail again. You should see Yahoo Beta. If you don't see it, go to options and click "Try Beta" button. That's all.
How to change your content preference:
* log in to Yahoo Mail * click Options * select Account information from the left panel * go to Member Information, General Preferences, Preferred Content * select, for example, Yahoo UK * click Finished * go to Yahoo Mail * you'll see a page that says "It's the New Yahoo! Mail Beta... and you're invited." * click on "Try Beta Now".

They say they are still testing it, so it only shows up in Outlook format maybe once or twice a week when I log in. Even then, it's a poor version of Outlook. And when it's not in that format, it's pretty much like the regular Hotmail format...only shittier.

www.live.com it's pretty slick interface. Not sure if you have to already be a part of the live beta group though. The sucky part is that you still have to make it run in IE Tab in order to get full functionality. And I just noticed that Google toolbar for Firefox doesn't seem to work that well in IE Tab. At least the Autolink feature doesn't....
I finally got the yahoo link to work and yeah it is pretty slick too. The ads all over the place are kinda annoying though. Ad control is a feature that really keeps Gmail ahead of the game though. I like how Gmail doesn't litter the screen with blinking/flashing ads in every inch of dead page space....

does it have to open Calendar & Notepad in a separate window though? That's how gmail does google calendar. I really hate that.. Live mail opens up everything in the same window... Closing tabs is kinda annoying...
