A internal burner
I mean I have added ram to this computer
I have put in a few pci cards
so is installing a burner that much more difficult
just wanna know before I purchase one and end up looking looking like a fool

It might be easier to install than RAM.

attach the slide things, slide it into a drive bay, connect one of the power cords from the power supply,
attach the data cable, make sure it's jumpered right,
and if necessary get it recognized in BIOS / install drivers off the cd.
takes 5-15 minutes.

not quite as easy as installing ram, but i'd say on the same level as intalling a pci device

if he got one of them bitch ass prebuilt cases it might be a lil more complicated, but with some time and common sense you can get around it.

a) not enough space in the case
b) you're short a power connector/data cable

while it's true it's presence will make your system run hotter/louder,
it's generally a lot cheaper to go internal

I am switching out a old one so I would think their would be space and the connection right
