I recently went from a total noob to rooting phones, android devices to mod-ed droid TV boxes with premium apks/kodi builds and IPTV.

Lets talk.

That's it.

Once the NBA season is over, I'll shut down YouTube TV.

Might grab HBO Now for Game Of Thrones.

Hulu TV is actually pretty good. The only issue is the lack of an extensive guide organized by time, like something you'd see on a cable TV interface. But even with a relatively slow broadband connection, the video is stable. The service has a decent amount of DVR space and if there is a show that expires, most of them are available through the individual networks.

Have Netflix as well, no explanation needs. And with Roku the Spotify app is great to play music on in the background since there aren't any real audio devices in my home.

I wish I was brave enough to go the illicit streaming route, but the only way I'd feel comfortable doing that would be paying for VPN, which doesn't make too much sense since the dollars involved with that is pretty steep.

Netflix, Hulu, watching WAY more Youtube.
actually watching tv a lot less, tbh, which is a good thing.

i'm guess i'm more of a cord-never, than a cord-cutter.
after i left my folks house, i lost track of TV so i guess its easier to deal with.

So someone mentioned only watching for the NBA season. Sling and YoutubeTV etc.

I use vaderstreams.ca They pretty much offer everything imaginable for the low. Specifically, I use the vaders/Beast combo for $25:

https://vaderstreams.ca/vader-streams-beast-tv-combos/

All the PPV sports, NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime etc. All the local and national stations that you can imagine.

This is the most budget bang for the buck that I've seen. I highly recommend it.

Here is a video on vaders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAiFdYGslI0

Here is the video for Beast TV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Daxrsakt49w

Check them out, for real and for true.

I don't know anyone's expertise on the subject but if you have any questions hit me with a DM. I have experience with STBemu, Perfect Player, VLC-mp3u8, and a variety of android boxes. Im just passing on the knowledge. Be sure to check out the channel listings.

Oh yeah. Vaders has a 5 day catch for its streams. Beast TV 3 days. This means that any channel that you have you can go back 3-5 days and watch whatever you missed. You can also download/record whatever you want.

Cloud9 IPTV -a clone of vaders. $15/mth

Rockstreams IPTV- Sport focused, small sample of other channels (free trial). I tried it. 7.3/10 $11/mth.

PRIME Streams- (I haven't tried it yet. I am in the process).

Gears TV -excellent product (too expensive for me) $40/mth.

I cut the cord -going from DirectTv to IPTV. I will never go back, especially after seeing that there are so many options for under $40 to get everything.

My recommendation: IPTV service w/good movie apk.
You will never need Hulu, Youtube Red, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc again.

I think I like Vue more than cable for sure. They were charging me for the cable box every month. Vue has a better lineup for me anyway. They offer most of the networks too, and the DVR service is pretty good too.
