only thing I wish it had was NFC. I had a G4+ and I thought it was pretty good, except for some weirdness with the wifi. for the price you really can't lose for the most part.

The G5 stepped it up with presentation. really like the way their G6 is looking too.

the Android Device I hope doesn't disappoint is the new Motorola One Power.

Just got the May security patch but missed the 8.1 update.

How's Android P treating you? Is your device Treble compatible? Mine is so I want the update day and date with the Pixel 3.

I was already in the BETA Program and this is my first real update for my Pixel. I'm really liking the look. Rounded edges on the cards. The card swipes and gestures are more and more like the old webOS phones. You now have to swipe up to close the app....just like webOS.

don't like that there's no headphone jack, but DO like that it, and the other XZ2s (provided you get the North American models) work on Verizon.

I've been using it for a week now and I still can't get used to app switching.

Everything else is pretty smooth overall though.

some Sony, Nokia, OnePlus models can also get the beta alongside Pixels

not sure I like the gesture bar much, though.

in fact I can see this being some real bullshit given some of the 7.0+ UI upgrades.

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

co-worker has a Pixel 1. I saw that it was out and let him know. today, I fooled around with it briefly.

the under the hood stuff is most intriguing.

the gesture UI?

just makes me think once again Google is tryna be Apple. it's aight. REALLY makes me wonder what OEMs who stray (i.e. Samsung) will do.

good thing you can switch, but I don't like how they do split screen in P. the old way was definitely better

And so I got on the final release earlier this week. I just want to say that I *love* Google Sans lol

I'll say that hated the new gestures functionality.

IMO the best feature is the conditional auto-rotate button. I *hate* auto rotate in general, but it's always a pain to switch to landscape when I really need it (like when I'm going through pictures). So I love how when I rotate my phone it doesn't change, but that temporary icon pops up giving me a quick way to switch view modes.

I also like the inline editing features for screen shots. Had it on my old LG G4 and missed it when I transitioned to stock Android a few years ago.

I also really like the audio controls a lot more.

Other than that, in general I'm happy with it. It's pretty and it's snappy.

Been playing around with the Digital Wellbeing app beta. Really like what I'm seeing so far. A little annoying that it includes Nova Launcher in my app use roll up though.

Unrelated to P specifically, but I'm still annoyed that trusted voices / places is still broken.

one thing that has bugged me about Android, no matter the implementation is how to shut everything TFU

even "Do Not Disturb" does not give you this in one click. On P there's a nice stack of controls when you touch the volume button, which I appreciate

I also like auto rotate in "gesture" mode being conditional, because I'm always in portrait. Not having to reach up for that is huge
