basically that their high end is still HIGH END and worth it, but their products are generally overpriced and its about time others started going for their necks.

especially UC Logic making Wacom look very overpriced. they don't have as many bells and whistles, but they make the $600-700 difference look suspect. Now MS has an all in one solution thats a better deal if you're starting from scratch. I'd much prefer this on my desk than two huge monitors.
I think Wacom got too comfortable and i'm surprised the reintroduction of the stylus in consumer tech, a better stylus, didn't have them switching it up a little.
Why get a Companion when you can get a Surface book? Why get one of their smaller monitors over an Artisul D13?
Wacom is gonna get lost in the sauce before too long. They need to work on offering more at the <$1k level and the >$1500 level.
I SHOULD be able to get at least a 22in tablet monitor for under $700 with a Wacom digitizer in it.

Yeah, i mean the thing is frickin beautiful, but yes the all in one aspect really relegates it to a small specific demographic. I'm not buying that thing unless I can upgrade it when I need more.
its not really touching an iMac spec-wise and its not really touching a Cintiq pen-wise which is the real dealbreaker
you could kind of get over the specs if the pen was up to par, but the surface pen isn't even close to Wacom (or UC-Logic for that matter) and Microsoft still hasn't addressed the awful line jitter. If i'm supposed to pay that much for what its supposed to do, i'd expect fewer compromises on the digitizer.
15. "its been 4 years and N-trig still falling short." In response to Reply # 14
N-trig still suffers from the same jitter as alternative pen tablets and tablet displays on Windows for whatever reason. The Surface pen doesn't seem to have been given an upgrade; 1024 compared to Wacom's +8000. Even the $500 Monoprice 22in sitting in front of me has a pen with 2048. 1024 is acceptable on the Surface Pro and even the Book, but its hard to recommend having that on the desk. It doesn't even have tilt control.
i realize i've done such a heel turn in this post. lol
