"help w/ windows media player & C00D11B1 error?"

searched the archives to see if this had been addressed and didn't see anything.

has anyone had any luck w/ this problem? evidently it's been a major issue w/ WMP 11. i'm trying to play a digital copy of a movie on my laptop (wmv), and i keep getting a C00D11B1 error. i've tried some of the fixes i've found, and none of them have worked.

any help?

digital copies come w/ authorization codes that can only be used once. i tried to open it w/ another media player, and was prompted for the authorization code. it said the code was no longer valid and had already been used. so i guess only windows media player can play the movie, but it's got its own error to deal with.

you have the option to d/l the digital copy to itunes or windows media player. i chose windows media player b/c i don't even have itunes on my laptop.

ugh.
