I was there pretty much the whole time. Lots of fun. I think they mentioned that there was a 50,000 person cap for this go 'round and that they'd increase it for the next show. (Sat. @ 8pm EST)
They have some kinks to work out, but still very cool. However, the female (automated) host got repetitive and it'd be nice to at least hear The One over live. Again, very cool. I'll be back Saturday more than likely.
Yeah, I dropped out, cuz I started dozing off. It was fun as hell, for the most part though. I'll stay fuckin with it just to win a stupid amount of MS points.

I do like how if you're in the crowd, they still group you with some folks so you still feel some type of competition even if you're not The One or in The Mob.

I do think though, if you're not totally familiar with the show, they need some kind of onscreen indicator to let you know if you're in the crowd or in the mob. I think I was in the mob at one point, and didn't realize it.

When you first join, it tells you. But more specifically, you can check the background color of your avatar "widget" at the top. If it's red or blue, you're in the Mob and your avatar is positioned in the mob area. If you're in the crowd, it's purple.
Granted, it could be a little clearer. But it is a beta, so maybe they'll change it.
and those that are concerned that they aren't getting the Microsoft Points...you're getting sweepstakes entries just for participating in the beta. grand prize is a HDTV I believe...

at the second stat break i was in first overall, with a score around 90k. i had a 20 question streak. there was 9500 playing at the time. after that, the wheels completely came off and i ended with about 140k total. the questions at the end got considerably harder.
i'll be back for more sometime this week, rjcc i tried to join your game at 8:30 but was late.
