The white 2.0ghz models. Oh, you have to ask in the store though...i don't think they have put them up online yet.

My wife went over to the darkside She couldn't resist.

Explain to me why Safari doesn't have a Full Screen option? Why don't any of the apps open up in full screen?

they went from 2.0Ghz Processor & 120GB HD & 2GB RAM @660mhz to 2.13Ghz Processor & 160GB HD & 2GB RAM@ 800mhz.

A mediocre upgrade for the average user if you ask me. Either way...$899 is an acceptable price if you ask me

What is better about Opera than Safari?
Should I just install it for her on the low?

it's modular, has built-in torrent support and full-screen mode.

It's slower than Safari tho.

I read that on a another forum too. That's dumb. It needs to be full screen so you don't have to scroll so damn much.

And we talking about a 13" macbook here...who DON'T like to have their internet window fully maximized??

Like, I really don't understand the thinking when mac users make that statement.

The only app I can think of that really doesn't need to be expanded the full screen is itunes, unless you are browing the store or watching a video...even then, probably not. But everything else....there is no reason NOT to have Safari, Word, etc....fully maximized.

and then there's the fact that the toolbar is at the top on Macs so you don't need to expand the window to get it there, something people get used to doing on windows that makes it harder for switchers

It just seems backwards to have to scroll up and down. If expanding a windows automatically would prevent the need to scroll vertical, why doesn't it just automatically adjust to the best height?

Meh, it bugs me more than my wife though. LOL.. I think it would drive me crazy if it were my machine.

Does that toolbar adjust functions according to whatever program is open or something? Is that what you are referring to?

esp web browers don't need to take up the whole screen as it hurts multitasking. It does take some getting used to.

But yeah then menu bar changes depending on the program, here's a quick crude screen grab:

I guess when i'm on the web, i'm generally not multitasking..i'm goofing the hell off lol.

How does the Menu Bar handle multiple simultaneous running programs? Does it change according to whatever program is on top or in focus?

What's the point of having a large screen if you're not going to maxamize your apps?

As a PC user, that makes perfectly good sense to me. At LEAST have the app expand the full HEIGHT of the screen. I can kinda see of full width expansion isn't necessary on a widescreen...but dammit, at least give me full height automatically.

never really thought to much about it since Mac have almost always been like this. might be something they'll add as a toggle because of all the new switchers to make them more comfortable with Mac OS X.
