I was going to look into this tonight, count up the number of people showing an interest here. Then I'd pretty much just make a bracket, post it here, and hope people got their games completely in a timely fashion and have them post the results here...

Ok, we ended up having 17 people signup (sorry Clovis, couldn't fit you in), so we've got a nice little 16 person bracket going. Here's the rules:

-Every matchup is determined by best 2 out of 3 MATCHES, with each match being a best 3 out of 5 ROUNDS scenario.

-Each round is to be 99 seconds long.

-Winner HAS to keep his character, while the loser has the option of switching (but doesn't have to).

-I included PSN tags where people posted them, but a few folks (mtbatol, spicadocious, etc) didn't post their tags. Please check in here with your tags.

-I figure we should have about a week long for each round of the tourney. Meaning this first wave of games should be completed no later than this Sunday. Please do your best to complete it, and be honest if you can't make it.

-Post the results here once you finish a match. For example:

mtbatol (ken) < centurySamIam (sagat)
mtbatol (blanka) > centurySamIam (sagat)
mtbatol (blanka) < centurySamIam (akuma)

First off, thanks to everyone who's played so far. I'm glad people are getting their games done; I'd really like to see this thing completed instead of fizzling out (like some things have a tendency to do 'round these parts, ha). Here's an updated bracket:

Also, just to be clear on the settings...each MATCH should be best 3 out of 5 rounds (instead of the usual best 2 of 3), and then it's best 2 out of 3 MATCHES. The way some of y'all are posting your results it seems like maybe that's not the case. If you play a bunch of games together, hey, awesome, you found a new street fighter buddy, but in the interest of consistency, we're only counting the first 2-3 matches. Cool? Cool.
