i already went to best buy, where i bought this vaio.
they said it was a virus, as the computer is fine until i plug the ipod in, and then it goes to a blue screen and restarts.
they plugged my ipod into their computer, updated the drivers and it never shut their computer down, so they said at the time if i restore the laptop to the factory settings, it should fix it.
and i just did that, played around on the computer for a while, then downloaded itunes, plugged the ipod in and it restarted the computer.

at this point, im thinking its a voltage issue...maybe?
cause everything is fine, i restored the computer so its not a software issue anymore if it was a virus, and everything goes well till i plug in the ipod.
i remember this happened in japan with my shuffle with my emachines laptop (i dont know why i copped that piece of shit btw lol) and they said it was a voltage issue and they kept giving me new shuffles and that worked fine.
real talk, i really thought they were helping me at the geek squad, but i kinda *paused* once i got home, cause the geek squad dude gave me the sony recovery cd ordering phone number, saying it would take 2 days for the cds to come and all this stuff.
and i called the # and they walked me through the restore process, saying my vaio is new enough that a cd isnt needed.
so i was like "oh shit, this geek squad dude didnt know that? wtf?"
i guess im expecting too much for him to memorize the recovery procedures for every laptop they carry huh lol
i kinda wanna go cop a shuffle at this point, if the voltage is less...

it shuts down sometimes too, flash drive as well... IT guy checked... could not find a virus, it is not definitely a virus, those guys at best buy will just tell u that regardless

i dont know why the nano is fucking up, but tomorrow, im taking the nano, shuffle and laptop to the apple store to get a new nano.
they may be like "well, it works on a mac, so we cant give you a new one" but i will tell them the shuffle works, the nano doesnt, so i dont give a fuck if the nano works with a mac lol
