I have my students install Ubuntu instead of Windoze...

Shit supposed to be nonvendor specific and they have me talking about windowsxp shit all day...

kool kool thats good.... yeah am kinda bored with the kubuntu can't wait for the kde 4.1 to come with the new kubuntu damn but still it all good.... i love software eh am down for learnin bout all them.. i wish i had a mac to fiddle with though i had the opportunity to fix one at one point in time and program it was good the interface almost everythin cause the mouse was gettin to me and since it was a slightly older mac it was runnin tiger at the time cant remember though which version but it was a good learnin experience

yeah good stuff... yeah synaptic and adept are good package management software they are pretty straight forward... use them to get new apps for your linux distro. question though why didn't you all use kubuntu cause for me gnome interface kinda dead eh no freakin lie you can even try sabayon lin http://www.sabayonlinux.org/) which normally comes with alot of apps already installed the dvd version has almost everythin is packed with alot of apps.

yeah you can even install it on windows like how you would install any other apps on windows it just modify the windows boot loader and there you have it. reboot your system and boot up with kubuntu and run the OS like it was installed on its own partition.
