"Is getting a videogame console a good investment?"
I just wonder when do you guys find time to play.
Ummm, if it is which console is best? I heard very bad things about all the consoles that are out. And how much money in total should i be willing to spend? (including console, game, and tv set)
Should i just wait for the next new console?
Also, I was going to get a PSP but most OKP'ers said that wasnt a good idea.

Either you play video games or you don't. IT's never an investment because new consoles drop every three years. What the fuck are you INVESTING in? It's a time waster and a wallet drainer but it's fun as all hell. The only other SUPER OBVIOUS reason would be movies and music. And I'm certain there are enuff posts and reviews out there to help you make that decision.

I was a kid I had bad motor skills. So when I was 6 my mom heard video games were great for exercising motor skills and eye-hand coordination. So she bought me a Super Nintendo. By the time I was 8 I had above average motor skills.

The fact that it is the least DRM friendly of all the consoles gives it that longterm reliability. Now granted the Wii is more fun for a few minutes (then you realize the need for a real console) and the 360 has more exclusives (bought and paid for with Microsoft dough) but the PS3 has FREE online gaming.

but it's been well worth the money. if i go out for a night, i'm probably gonna drop $50 easily. so if i spend $60 on a game, and play it instead of going out, i'm saving money. that's the only way i could consider it being an investment.
how is that even possible? to lose a (at least) $300 piece of hardware that's painted white (since most of them are, I'm assuming yours was too). put your 360 on a leash next time.
