Followed by OoT, then Wind Waker. Wind Waker gets hate for the graphics, but in 5 years if you try to play that vs TP, I bet everyone says WW is better looking.

I think it may have to do with the fact that I didn't play LttP until almost a decade after it came out, so it was pretty dated.

being overhead view, and it was the greatest technology leap while staying tru to the original Zelda. I don't shun change, I THOROUGHLY likedd OoT, but the purist in me hates it not only for the reasons stated above but it was when all the bandwagon jumpers hoped onto the franchise.

I geeked hard on Zelda in my youngin years.

LttP was one of the early games for the SNES...and it just crushed any game out for any system at the time

the rain and lightning effects at the beginning of the game? that shit was amazing at the time

the bosses, the dungeons...it was like combining every other adventure game before it and then adding steroids

And then I'll be able to say. As of right now it's clearly Ocarina. Windwaker was cool, but it just didn't do as much for me as Ocarina and TP.

Wind Waker is BY FAR the worst.

it was a good game. it wasn't a Miyamoto Zelda game.

I haven't played Twilight Princess but I'm gonna have to go with OoT (barely nudging out LttP).

hell, Link's Awakening or Majora's Mask should be ahead of Wind Waker.

Also if you're a retard and didn't get the warping ability I see how that might ware on the nerves but I thought the sailing really added to the epic feel of the game which OoT had by making a large over world and Wind Waker mad one even larger that took more time to cross.

>Also if you're a retard and didn't get the warping ability I

you didn't get the warping ability until later in the game; by that point I had already lost hours of my life watching a super-deformed Link sail his dragon boat

>I thought the
>sailing really added to the epic feel of the game which OoT
>had by making a large over world and Wind Waker mad one even
>larger that took more time to cross.

boring

instead of more dungeons, Wind Waker had an entire third of the game devoted to repetitive back-and-forth "treasure hunt" crap

and let's not forget how fun the actual Wind Waker flute was! watching the same animation over and over and over and over again every time I wanted to change directions

It's just that, at the same time, you could go through the entire game not knowing it exists.

I got halfway though Windwaker and lost my memory card. I didn't even know there was warping, but when I referred to a strategy guide to speed up the process of getting back to where I was, I found that you could get it pretty darn early in the game

>instead of more dungeons, Wind Waker had an entire third of
>the game devoted to repetitive back-and-forth "treasure hunt"
>crap

This was my main problem with the game. Once you get past that treasure hunt bs, the last two dungeons were pretty awesome.

Also, the wind waker was a conductor's baton. Not a flute.

maybe after I finish God of War 2 I'll break it out and start fresh

but for now my criticisms remain...the two editions of OoT that came with Wind Waker got more time in the Gamecube

After you meet the guy that teaches you how to manipulate the wind if you sail to his brother the cyclone guy. Shoot him with arrows when you get sucked in the cyclone.... and bam! he teaches you the cyclone song.

The fact that you and a gajillion other people can't cope with a non-serious tone Zelda is fuckin rediculous. The fucking franchise is being driven into the ground in all this "next-gen" darker graphics and all that other bullshit. Wind Waker's visual style was great for the franchise, the conceptualized gameplay wore thin but the visual style was great. I wish more of the Zelda's would go the route of a more colorful environment and imaginitive scenery and characters.

Fuckin tired of all these ppl and thier "Make it darker, make it realer!"

That's not what its supposed to fuckin look like.

behind RE4.
The game had its drawbacks, but all things considered, it was a great game. I thought the animation was beautiful, the music was perfect, and the puzzles in it were just as good as any other Zelda game. The sailing, while it did get a little frustrating, was completely do-able, and if anything, it made the game feel more epic. Had that been the first Zelda that I'd ever played, I'd probably put it down as my favorite.

Eternal Darkness is more of a toss up.

They’re both survival horror, but RE4 is way more action oriented. Eternal Darkness has a better story and production values, but the actual game mechanics are more like the old, tank controlling Resident Evil games. I’d say RE4 is better, but if you enjoy a good story more than a fun game, you may like ED more.

All three are better than Wind Waker though.

Some would say Metroid Prime is better than Wind Waker, too.

All your arguments to me sound like I didn't like this game cause it's not like the old ones...... you need wrap your mind around taking a series of games to new places. You don't get sick of playing a revamped version of a game you've played before.

yeah it has the core OoT gameplay, but it didn't match OoT

I had NO problems with the graphics

but compared to other installments:

-the dungeons were lacking in creativity and number
-the one third of the game was repetitive, "fetch the Triforce" searching that flat-out sucked
-not as many classic, "wow factor" moments
-sailing was cool at first, but overall just bogged down traveling (yes, even with the warping)...change the wind...dig up 10-note Wind Waker tune from menu...watch wind changing animation sequence...sail a map block...call for warping guy...warp sequence...change wind again...dig up 10-note Wind Waker tune from menu...

I didn't say it was a "bad game"...it's just not as good as at least five other Zeldas

and taking a look at this poll, most people agree with me

off topic: Was anyone else freaked out by the Digdogger in the original LOZ? The Doc would never fight that thing alone when he was younger -- he'd have to either close his eyes and pray the sword did its job, or get someone else to beat it for him.

The Doc isn't freaked out by that thing now, but back in 198X? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit.

I want cartidges of LttP and Oot buried with me when I pass, but WW isn't allowed anywhere near my funeral.

That game had CRAP design. Fuck the boat. Fuck playing a song to move 10 degrees to the left. Fuck spending 15 minutes sailing to an island only to find out that you can't get on it til you get an item from another island on the other side of the map. Fuck these collect-15-of-these mini-quests. Fuck lame platform-jumping in dungeons as a replacement for innovative puzzles. Fuck this game.

I really don't know what the fuck you're talking about "Crap Design" nothing in that game was poorly executed. It makes a lot more sense to say I didn't like the game because of all the sailing and it had fewer puzzles. Than to have the audacity to say that Nintendo of all developers did a bad job designing one of the best games on the Gamecube.

I hold Nintendo to extremely high standards, particularly with the Zelda series, and they definitely deliver 99% of the time. I don't know what to tell you about this game other than what I already have. It simply doesn't capture the magic for me.
