so many of these southern courses are on plantations. golf is too $$$$ dependent for the PGA not to cough up the green or grant huge sponsorship to young players. being "good" isn't enough, you gotta pay out the ass on the regular.

Tiger wasn't really raised to embrace his Black parts so beyond just making people interested, he never intentionally planted the seeds to invest in the future Black golfers. A pipeline could have been created, but mainly it's just more people playing with few and far between having the resources to make it to the next level.
