than being a head coach, at least in terms of his inability to making adjustments. He's definitely an improvement in terms of the past 5 or so coaches the Knicks have had, but I don't feel comfortable having him coach for the long term, especially in terms of him developing the young core on the roster.
Problem is, I don't have a solid clue who the right man for the job is. Lazily, I would say Jeff Van Gundy might be the man for the job, but I doubt he wants to stress that would come with coaching the Knicks. Plus I think he is friends with Thibs, so I don't know if he'd want to take his coaching spot like that.
