not sure how he evolved after 2016. He’s been a devastatingly efficient, scoring machine for about 12 years, now.
Melo came to OKC as a fully-formed NBA player..the only evolving he did was accept (after the debacle in Houston) that he was at a different stage in his career and embrace it…then flourish.
PG had the best season of his career in 2018 and was 3rd in MVP voting.
“Obaka”, as you call him, has essentially been the same guy since forever…gradually moving further away from basket. His highest rebound total (those things you say Russ steals from PFs) was in OKC.
Philly gave Jerami Grant up for Ersan Ilyasova. His last season in OKC was his best, to that point. He left as an all-world wing defender/finisher, shooting nearly 40% from three.
Victor Oladipo played one season in OKC and attributed part of his success in his first season in Indy to playing alongside Russ and watching his work ethic and how he approaches the game.
