But if you want to get an out, put somebody on the mound who's gonna get the out. Otherwise, I want to see the pitcher pitch and the hitter hit, no matter the quality/skill level of either player.
I can't think of the BEST analogy, but to my mind it's like asking a team up 30 in the final 9 minutes of a basketball game to stop crossing halfcourt, passing the ball or attempting to make free throws when fouled. Are we or are we not playing a game here?
